He was definitely looking for a replacement... I think one of them was teenager Liam Russell. In 2018/2019 Phil was trying to mentor him. Liam has mental health issues too so he'd be vulnerable. Since all this came out a couple of weeks ago, Liam has made all his social media accounts private

I found his IG account back in 2020 and he had pics of PS on there... this one is from December 2018 and it looks like it was taken at TM studios. He'd be around 17 here...

My issue with the knocking of KK and JM comes from theories around the ‘Ideal Victim’.

The 'ideal' victim is the one generating the most sympathy from society. Those who are viewed as deserving and worthy of victim status by society.

The ideal victim (Christie, 1986) is weak (elderly, sick or very young), engaged in respectable activity, and therefore innocent. Referred to as 'she' in Christie’s work, the ideal victim must also align with desirable notions of (White) feminine demeanour.

If someone doesn’t align with the ideal victim criteria, they are discredited and often blamed for what has happened to them. If we disregard KK and JM because of who they have socialised with, slept with, been in relationships with; or because they’ve done drugs, have suffered with mental illness, or have been seen acting erratically under the influence of alcohol, then we could quickly become a breeding ground for PS simps/PR lurkers trying to discredit MM on the basis he’s done , been partial to a drink, had a sexual relationship with PS, acted out at the NTAs and professed to love PS. Basically, it’s not about the characteristics of the person, it’s about facts. And the facts show PS to be a vindictive, pretentious narcissist with a penchant for gaslighting and abusing people.

What I mean is people are saying she new about the grooming completely what I’m getting at is she probably thought it was an affair (I’m not victim blaming). Like he started there at 18? Even though he started then it’s not like she knew everything about it. It’s not like Mike the camera man he like “aye, schofield grooming him you know”. I think she probably caught on as the years went by but not when he was 18 and thought it was an affair then if I’m right with the timeline from the threads NTA night he was in LW? But I think that’s when she found everything out. I think in those pictures where MM looks like he’s screaming at her that’s where he’s telling her it was actually all grooming.
Don’t forget victims of grooming don’t know they are being groomed.

OK - playing devils advocate here and let's pretend MM was 18 minimum - if a close colleague of yours, in their late fifties, was suddenly enamoured with an 18 year old in the office, would you not think it was suss? That type of relationship between someone in late fifties and an 18 year should never be described as an 'affair'.

So apologies if all this has already been said:

- I absolutely adore Eamonn for his imitation of crying Phil
- I find Kerry Katona hard to watch so only saw a clip of what she’s said, I just wish she hadn’t brought Caroline Flack into it.
Caroline’s story is beyond tragic, but she was asked to step down because she was accused of domestic assault - not because she had an “argument with her boyfriend”
She took her own life because her mental health was incredibly poor and because she couldn’t face going to trial - not because she was asked to step down pending the trial.
ITV are culpable in the way they’ve dealt with the PS debacle - no question.
But people should really stop using Caroline as the mark of comparison for every new scandal. Imo.

Based on my own extensive experience with narcissists - all he'll care about is his public image. That's it. He won't have a shred of empathy or consideration for anyone else, because he thinks they're all beneath him. I've read the court transcript too. I fell down a massive rabbit hole with Watkins a few years ago. Please understand when I say that it's my opinion that Watkins isn't a paedophile it's not a defence. Not everyone who abuses children is a paedophile and not all paedophiles go on to abuse however society uses the word paedophile incorrectly in a lot of cases. Saville is a prime example of this. He's known as the most prolific paedophile in the UK's history but Saville targeted the vulnerable; children, adults who were unwell, the dead. People who wouldn't be believed.

Some people have a target victim. Paedophiles are primarily or solely attracted to children. Watkins primarily targeted women and teenage girls. He enjoyed seeing if they'd allow him to abuse their young children or talk about abusing children. He enjoyed pushing boundaries as far as possible. He also enjoyed animal abuse.

Not being primarily attracted to children doesn't make him less of a monster.

With all respect I think it’s best to drop this now. Watkins’ pedalo activity was some of the worst ever reported. Arguing over whether he was a pedalo in what you see as the true sense of the word is pointless and triggering to people. He abused fucking babies ffs. Leave it there.

When people comment about having learnt nothing from Caroline Flack I want to scream.

Why aren’t they asking ITV that question?

When this was taken to senior people PS had not come out as gay. Anyone with an iota of sense would have known what a huge news story it would make. The alleged behaviour was happening in the workplace.

If they believed it was untrue they had a duty of care to demonstrate they had carried out a full investigation and exonerate PS and clear him of the rumours and any fall out.

If they did believe the rumours they had a duty of care to MM to protect him, from both sexual harassment and abuse of power and from the media.

Either way, ignoring it and sweeping it under the carpet was always likely to lead to this.

ITV learnt nothing from Saville, Weinstein, MeToo or Caroline Flack and senior heads must roll.
