Oh dear. What a time to announce that topicThe show's text topic this week is stories of negging (Lou S is in this week for Elis and its happened to her) and its gone down like a lead balloon in the group. I personally don't think it's normalising it and more laughing at something that's so objectively bad. But thats seemingly just me.

I think the article is good. It’s interesting hearing how different their perspectives on alcohol are because I have been moderating my drinking significantly and a lot chimes with what Adrian says. However the final comments old Johnny JR makes make me feel for him. I know he mentioned (I think on HDYC) that he can’t think about the “might have beens” and “what ifs” … I hope that someone who brings so much happiness to my life and to many others has happiness in his own. I know he does, and I’m not wanting to patronise him by turning him into a tragic character when he clearly has good friends and a loving family; I just hope he doesn’t beat himself up too much.

Only just realised the cross over between hammers to open tins and hammer legends. Too little too bloody late.
I was introduced to EJ & JR by my FTBF who hasn't LEFT about 2 years before lockdown, and during the former made it my mission to become a retro oner. I listened at 1.5 speed because I'm an absolute maverick!
I listen to TMUW but none of their other side projects (HDYC notwithstanding, I consider this part of the main show) and agree with Slop that the whimsical language isn't a draw, but it's definitely improved over time.
How did you all find Tattle?

Oh I'm really looking forward to the new series of How Do You Cope? - the bit where they talk to each other at the beginning is always the most interesting bit IMO.

Wow, I can't listen at anything but 1x speed. Accidentally had something on at 1.25 once and I could not work out why it sounded so wrong!Listening to the pod now. Ironic that John spoke about having to listen to Claudia Winkleman at 1.2 and I had to chuckle. I listen to my podcasts at 2.0 as a rule but I've had to increase to 2.2 for them as 2.0 seemed quite slow
Also I'd absolutely gush about Elis for a Sunday times interview...
Yes, it's a shame the Elis/Issy interview is behind a paywall. I hope someone provides a cheeky link somewhere
