The woman that was killed was foreign. I was born in Portadown and my family still live there so when I heard that someone had been killed in a fire I naturally wondered if I knew of them, especially as my family live a stones throw away. I had asked a few family members if it was anyone we would have known - not that it matters, its devastating either way but you always worry regardless. I won't go into detail because I don't want to give too much away but a family member is friends with a person who knew the poor woman very well and knew what she had been through. I am sure it will all come out but it looks like it was a domestic violence case and it was clear from her injuries she was murdered before the fire started. Everyone is in shock and her friend is distraught. Not sure why its not a bigger story and my heart goes out to her wee girl who is now without a mum. Can't believe the story isn't bigger though, is just because she isn't a native to NI? Shouldn't bloody matter. Very sad all round. Everyone in town is rallying round to help out with donations for the child who is now without a mum. I saw Esky Repairs has donated a phone and peacocks have donated clothes along with a voucher.Comments on this mention Portadown, maybe it was an asylum seeker that was killed? Thereās kids there masked up , loyalists apparently.

I completely agree with you. I'd want to know who I was living beside. There is a hostel in Portadown, town centre pretty much. It's beside a nursery yet its been known to house sex offender. Someone ends up spotting one of these people in town and then the vigilante stuff starts but rightly so, people have a right to know who they are living beside.

Its really sad that it came to what it did, a woman losing her life and now a child without a mother at the hands of some twisted evil excuse of a human. Yes definitely Nora, its good to see that we do have good people walk amongst us and all willing to help out at a time like this.
