Based on the height and weight entered, the BMI is 17, placing the BMI-for-age at the 16th percentile for girls aged 14 years. This child has healthy weight.
So Sockie has a healthy BMI and weight.
i was wrong.sockie s bmi is 17,placing the bmi-for-age at the 16 percentile for girls aged 14.
but saying that she has healthy weight is extremely misleading and untrue.
bmi is often a bad indicator and is especially so in this case.
sockie s weight is much lower than the average weight. she is in the 4th percentile(the lowest 4 percent).she is underweight.
she is small, undeveloped and hasnt started puberty at 14!
she has very delayed growth and puberty and is being treated by a specialist for this.
there is a genetic contribution to her condition, but her insufficient and unbalanced diet also contributes a great deal to her condition.
her parents(brooke!) for irrational reasons are not willing to change this diet.
so sockie s weight is not healthy all-she is very under weight and her weight is a symptom for very serious problems.
saying otherwise is to ignore this.
