If her partner murdered her, I assume that Willow would have witnessed it. And she would be barking at Paul, and wary of him. I don't think he was involved.
You don’t think he’s involved because Willow doesn’t bark at him? Not because the police have categorically stated he’s not a suspect, but because his beloved family pet isn’t barking at him..?

If my best friend had been missing for 2 weeks and I was spending all my time consoling her partner and devastated children, there’s no way I’d even put mascara on. Let alone the lashes and the eyeliner. I’d be a bloody mess. So odd.
I suppose it’s her way of coping and she probably usually wears make up so perhaps she wants things to appear “normal” for the children. We all deal with things differently.
Although she’s got some things wrong (GFM) I do think her intentions come from a good place.

Marriage isn't for everyone. I've been with my partner for 17 years this year, we have a house and a child. I know he loves me. I don't need a piece of paper to tell me that.
so if you passed away at 87 you would be happy for your lifetime partner to be addressed as "your boyfriend" at your funeral ?

I think it's a bit sad tbh

How is someone replying to comments you’ve made on a public forum classed as ‘stalking’😭😭?! I feel like you need to learn the meanings of some of the words you’ve been using. The education system has a lot to answer for lmfao.

My rational brain says it’s just a tragic accident and she fell in the river
My totally irrational conspiracy side of the brain is saying Paul and Emma have bumped her off and it wasn’t actually Nicola the witnesses saw it was Emma dressed as Nicola as a decoy
And part of me thinks she’s left of her own accord and is hiding somewhere
But Nicola drove the children to school. That’s a fact that can’t be argued. So regardless of who was in the field 20 minutes later, Nicola was at the school.

ETA Nicola spoke with an Essex accent as the Police have stated, so the children and anyone who may have spoken to her at school would have known if it wasn’t her.

I'm not convinced of her being in the water, as the part of the river where the seat her phone was on is gently sloped, so would be easy to get out, and why would she leave her phone on the bench if she was walking with dog in another location?
---

After following a few true crime cases where people were drowned, what stuck in my mind was where the experts explained due to gas in the body, they nearly always float to the surface.
There are a few other reasons why the experts at finding bodies in water say it would be strange if she did fall in the water and hasn't been found.
The expert from Specialist Group International said the bottom of the bank in front of the seat is about two feet deep, so easy to stand up in.
It seems to only be people not experts at finding bodies in water or who haven't been there who think she drowned.

The equipment and specialists used to search for Nicola, have been successful with finding people in much wider and deeper areas.

I’d struggle to get out of the water back onto the bank there. The police diver had to be helped by two people.

Yes I saw that but it's weird since he had absolutely nothing to do most of the morning (even thought he was up) and she had to take kids to school, take dog for walk and listen to a conference call at the same time out in the cold. Just doesn't seem very conducive to doing your job that well. Then again maybe she has better attention skills than me cos I'd struggle to follow along as it is never mind whilst my dog is potentially running around or going crazy over something it's seen. I'm assuming they think she sat on the bench to listen to the call?

Seems like an odd set-up, since Paul was so free in the mornings due to his job. It would make sense for him to take the kids and dog that day (or everyday) instead. He seems to really like his hour of peace though lol. It doesn't make him guilty, just maybe not bf of the year. It would clear up a lot of confusion if he just said "well actually Nicola does everything in the morning with the kids and dog" which I expect is more likely. She was seen on that footage loading the car even though it was her "kids/dogs day" which means Paul was supposed to load the car apparently.
My friend’s husband is like this. She has to go to an exercise class of an evening just to get him to do the bedtime routine. If she’s home she’s expected to do all the childcare all the time. He’ll do anything to get out of spending time with them.
He’d describe himself as a good dad.

Yeah, wouldn't bother me at all. I'd be dead.
Oh jeez that reminds me of a post I saw on Facebook, someone posted they had found a deceased cat, and someone commented does it answer to the name Charlie 🙄🙄🙄
sorry to go off topic, couldn’t help myself!!

I'm still leaning towards the river/drowning just because it seems the most likely.

BUT the whole documentary and 'chat' with Paul I just find absolutely bizarre on all counts. Even if it's confirmed he is on meds (which I don't think it is officially) then surely it's unethical to put him in the spotlight?

Where's the family liaison? I'm assuming they have one even if they still think she's missing, given it's only been 2 weeks and with all the media hype I'm sure they would be assigned one. I can't believe for one minute they have been advised this is a good idea to do the documentary by the police or FLO, as even if he has no part in it it's just fueling speculation.

I am leaning to the drowning theory but honestly who knows, there are a LOT of messed up people about.
I think the fact that Lancs Police declined to take part in the programme shows that they thought it was a bad idea.

I got the impression that CH5 was using this as possibly a way to commission a new Crimewatch style programme.
The weird western type intro music was very odd though.

She logged on to the Teams call at 9am so would have been listening and walking before arriving back at the bench at 9.20am.

I don’t see anything weird about their morning routine, people don’t follow a manual and things change depending on the day’s circumstances. Maybe she liked doing the school run, chatting to the mums and then getting some fresh air helped her concentrate. Maybe she’s the morning person and he’s a night owl. Who knows? None of it adds up to anything. I’d hate someone to put my morning routine under the spotlight and draw conclusions about the state of my relationship from it.

People focus so much on how she could "possibly" have fallen into the river. It could have been any number of things. As well as simply tripping, it could have been a medical event causing her to lose consciousness. A few years ago, a friend of a friend died of a brain aneurysm. She was in her 30s, completely fit and healthy, she was sitting at the kitchen table, got up to make a cup of tea, collapsed and died instantly. These things sadly can and do happen.

I actually don't think he's involved, but FGS can we PLEASE stop assigning human like emotions to dogs. They haven't got them. They're dogs.

Surely if the husband was involved somehow he’d be pushing the ‘fallen in the river’ story whereas he’s saying he doesn’t believe she’s in there.

I’m still convinced it’s an accident. More so with PA saying the harness was “ half way down the bank.”
She was at the bench/gate where the dog has it’s harness taken off/put on.
She was putting the harness back on and the dog has jerked/knocked her forward head first into the river.
The media frenzy has caused this case to be blown up into something it is not.
I do wonder if there is a MH aspect also. The clock watching/assuming she was late after half hour seemed very specific and protective for me.

Madeline McCann's mum had make-up and earrings on when she appeared on TV to appeal for her shortly after she went missing.

Now that blows my mind.

I was brought up to be kind and helpful and I have done the same with my daughter.
I have told my daughter now that unless you are in a city centre surrounded by people then you help nobody- you walk away as quickly as you can and ring whatever emergency service needed and don’t go and help personally.
Nikki might be in the river or she may have been abducted or something else - this may get solved or it may not.I hope it doesn’t become a cold case for her family as the not knowing must be torture.
As a side note Eyeliner Emma did my daughters wedding at Marsh Farm and she was lovely 😊
Sorry Nikki is missing and sorry that lots of other missing people don’t get this help and attention.
I have been flitting between websleuths and tattle and feel more at home on tattle so thank you xxx
