It’s very possible she was trapped somewhere, in reeds or bushes etc.
There’s reports of heavy rain in the area over the weekend and subsequent strong tides, which would help to move or dislodge anything.

The problem with water is it’s so unpredictable 😔
😔 Honestly, water scares me so much. People underestimate it's strength and danger.

Time and time again they wheel Kay Hurley out in moments like this and time and time again she is embarrassing.
I remember watching April Jones updates and Kay Burley informed two women who had been searching that it was now a murder investigation. It broke them, with the whole world watching. She is not fit for that job in my opinion. No empathy whatsoever.
Yep that was when she was first brought to my attention - watching her LIVE telling that little girls aunt wasn't it who was just back from a search so hadn't heard the latest update. I don't know how she sleeps at night.

Had to turn sky news off. Kay burley the cretin and some other guy reading out messages from the bridge from Nicola's mum and sister. Lowest of the low in terms of journalism. They haven't confirmed it's Nicola yet. Absolute scum "journalism".

Have lit a candle tonight. I mentioned I lost a friend to suicide in 2021. The speculation then was painful, without it being played out on international news.
I despise the guy with her. He was in my local town during Covid and the time of local restrictions. He said that he had been in the local shops and the locals had been saying that they had been ignoring the restrictions. No evidence of interviews just things he had supposedly been told. I live in one of the most deprived areas of the UK. Gutter journalism which seems to have become the norm.

I absolutely do not hate you in the slightest 💕

As long as you are not doing it alone and there's a strong swimmer nearby should anyone get into trouble - I know there are positives to the experience. Just want everyone to be safe.

As someone who has dealt with the public, it's usually angry parents that I've had to deal with because they have been refused entry to a pool for not having sufficient adult to child ratio or don't want their child to wear armbands because they are in swimming lessons. I don't like disappointing kids but I'm a stickler for the rules.

The rules that are in place at your local pool are there for a reason because it just takes seconds in a busy pool. After watching multiple distressing training videos, I will not have a preventable incident happen in a pool on my teams watch. Yoni Gottesman is the one the stuck with me the most 😔.

Do whatever makes you happy @shadowcat5 just stay safe 🥰
good on you sticking to the rules! They are there for a reason. Better a disappointed child than a dead one. Simple as that!

There’s people posting on Fb, claiming he was seen by the river last night carrying black bags- claiming it’s been reported to the police… it’s just bonkers what people will write on the internet without a second thought.
Yes with one of his daughters ffs. Of course they were on a nice family outing at 10.30pm to dispose of a body.
bleeping idiots.

Again excuse my ignorance, but then wouldn’t she have not died straight away. As wouldn’t have drowned.. I know you might not know the answers. It’s all so sad. Answers don’t actually change anything either x

Just to say I don’t follow every single thread on these posts. I asked @InTheDollsHouse for the source of a comment they made in the last thread and they directed me to it. Thanks to them for that.
To those saying it was rude to ask; it isn’t. It’s not rude at all. It was a perfectly reasonable comment given the amount of misinformation that flies around these days; particularly in relation to this case.

Oh tit. I hate him for his attitude but if only they’d let him 😔
Did the police forbid him from searching further downstream or was he sure she couldn't have moved that far if she had gone in at the bench? Or if they had given him the full information could he have thought she may have entered the water in a different location and searched further?
That's why I said earlier it will be interesting to hear his excuse for not finding her, judging by his comment that knowing the full details would have changed his search strategy?

He might well have gone on a river walk last night, with his daughter and dog, so what if it's where Willow likes to walk. Those damn black doggy poo bags obviously look larger in headlight reflections from folks just driving past 🙄 if I'd disappeared, my bestie would be taking my dog out walking every hour round our walking route trying to find his Mummy, eeeh, some people. 😔

No, sorry, I don’t mean trapped somewhere the entire time from the moment she entered the water. I mean after drowning, she’d then sink/move in the water and become lodged somewhere.

And actually just thinking back to today, the people who called the police actually had to point the location out to the police and a diver had to go in so she possibly was still stuck somewhere.

I’m not sure it’s clear, because the police stayed silent and PF said so many different things that it’s hard to know what’s true.

He must have searched the direction towards the sea though, surely? And that’s where this body has been found?

It's more the abrupt manner of your request.

Would the body not have been identified by now? Sorry if I sound stupid, but is there any indication as to how long it will take?

We had really strong winds on Thursday and Friday in our area so possibly same there which may have caused movement

I don't think they meant it was rude to ask. It was more the manner of asking. "Has anyone got a source for that please"? would be viewed as less rude. It can be hard to distinguish tone on a forum anyway and one word responses don't give you much to work with.
