I also hope he's been incredibly open and honest regarding both his own, and familial, addiction issues; I would try everything possible before prescribing stimulants to someone with his history. Although hopefully they're off the cards due to the bipolar 2 diagnosis, for fear of a serious manic episode.

(I should add: stimulants for ADHD are incredible medications, wholly necessary, and I probably prescribe them daily – but I would never forgive myself if I hadn't done my due diligence around addiction history, and ended up ruining someone's life by giving them access to them.

Ok, I'll shut up now!!

Sorry but getting to know Xander now he has gone, is a bit 😱 to me
Ashley is just a kiss arse who feels he has to know everything about everyone, so all the Subs go running to him for the latest gossip.
Neither he nor Mark and Nadia truly had any good words to say about Xander so they shouldn't be making out they were his best friend now.

I searched Facebook for any other information last night and found public posts from his Sister and a friend; He was 50, they believe it was a blood clot in his lungs, and his real name is actually Darren. He recently auditioned for the Voice and was waiting to hear back.

I didn't contact any family or friends as I'm not a creepy weirdo like you Ashley 😁🤣

Dimwit Nadia🤣🤣🤣
Her hands and arms are still a disaster with eczema/psoriasis so homeopathy has not helped apparently!

love the reference “she heard from a friend” 🤣🤣 Nitty and her imaginary friends😏
I always remember when she was plugging that Cetraben cream- can’t remember if it was sponsored but probably was. Not the best advert though either way as it would look like it either doesn’t work or she doesn’t bother using it so it can’t be that great!

Whenever she goes on about homeopathy I laugh. Look, I get people being wary of what is called "Western Medicine," but it is that medicine that has discovered vaccines for horrible diseases, ways to manage or cure illnesses and have essentially made it possible for us to live longer and better lives. A consumer advocate show here did a segment on homeopathy treatments, took said treatments to a lab to see what was in them and the active ingredient was so small that they were essentially sugar pills. For all the bitching that homeopathic proponents do over Big Pharma, there is a lot of money being made from the homeopathic elixirs. Nadia says she broke out after Maddie's traumatic birth. It doesn't take a genius to realize that her issues were psychosomatic.

As far as not having a GP, that is insane. You need someone to be your point person who has a concise history of your health. These people are the ones who give you access to specialists if they can't help you. Honestly, the way she practically boasts about not seeing a doctor is maddening and moronic. 🤬
Someone obviously gave her HRT though! She said in the members live yesterday that she’ll be doing a Q&A on menopause and HRT soon! I haven’t slept with excitement!!!

It seems that Xander/Darren was generous to the Swadderleys when he didn’t necessarily have the means to be so generous.

If I were the father who, openly on social media, has expressed his anger toward men who have verbally abused his daughters, I'd want a word in the shell like of my oldest daughter as to why she is posting images on her Instagram page, albeit with comments turned off, of her half naked 13 yr old sister
And now I will shut up

No, please don’t shut up!

I think the mental health stuff on this channel may be really damaging and it needs calling out ❤❤❤

Do people still get a diagnosis of ADD? I thought it was always diagnosed as ADHD these days??

I don't know why but it's made me irrationally angry that only now that poor Xander has died they see fit to say he bought Mark's mother a ring door bell.
I don't remember it being mentioned at the time.
All these blinkered, not wealthy, poorly people buying them thoughtful gifts that they either discard (probably laugh at), fake gush over or ignore.
Makes me sad and angry.

I’m confused. He wasn’t American? He wasn’t a broadcaster etc? He lived in Cleethorpes? Did Mark even bump into him in London?

I think “Xander” was an alter ego, that he was British but spent some time in the States but moved back to the UK, that he was a broadcaster in the same way that Manky is an active director/producer - I think it was mostly self-published, and that he was generous with his time to others because he had a lot of it.

So he was just another of the vulnerable people they rip off!

Thank you – you're very kind!
You're absolutely right: ADD is an extremely outdated term; it's no longer in the DSM-V, which instead contains a listing for ADHD. I don't know why anyone would diagnose ADD, rather than ADHD. If someone doesn't fulfil the hyperactivity remit, you can't just diagnose with ADD instead: the hyperactivity is a cornerstone of the diagnosis.

I assumed that the doctor *did* diagnose ADHD, but M & N are still in the dark ages when it comes to mental health so are just referring to it by what they think they know.

If anyone is interested, here are the criteria for ADHD diagnosis, from the DSM-V (the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual):
(The disorder specifications are the same in the UK, btw!)

Absolutely. If he was as 'in crisis' as they portrayed, stabilisation should have 100% been the priority. No-body I would trust with my own, or my family's, mental health would diagnose when someone is in crisis; there is so much research that shows it frequently leads to misdiagnosis.

It's next-to-impossible to accurately diagnose someone in crisis. Which, to me, adds weight to the idea that he went to what we call 'pay for a diagnosis psychiatrists'.

Exactly
It takes time to get a true diagnosis, i cant see that he would had a thorough assessment via a telephone call and one appointment - as I said earlier it wont have scratched the surface and he has so many deep routed issues- it would take time to get to the core of his illness
