It all makes sense, the reason they are you tubing is to reduce their tax bill. Every household expense normal people pay like cinema trips, Internet, car leasing, trips away, nights away are location expenses are all things they use to deduct from their tax bill.
As we've all known for a long time, they didn't set their channel up because they care, they did it to pay less tax, they then get even greedier and started charging subs to cover all of the work they put into the content!!!! The absolute bloody cheek!!! They reduce their tax bill by 90% and still need more money.
I'm absolutely furious!!!! Just look at the amounts re their expenses!!!

So...I just watched the sample ‘Sunday show’ they put up recently. Nadia attempting to do show cooking, but then deciding not to reach the point of serving up as she’d have to cook rice again later. Then a section on looking at the kids phone and laughing at memes at their kitchen table. Then we have Teddy, who is actually amusing. But...then cheek of Mark to claim they charge for this content because it’s a produced ‘studio’ show. It’s just more of the same, can’t even be bothered to overlay recipe details, can’t be bothered to turn the tv off in the background...if you listen through headphones during the Teddy segment you are being bombarded by background noise. Even AMATEUR vloggers put more thought into how to produce an professional show. I also don’t believe for one moment that either Mark or Nadia have the attention span to read books every week, all they are doing is having a quick skim of the synopsis and main reviews and then working out to present as if they’ve read something. All those vlogs where they catch each other as hoc..never see either of them reading. Nanny Di however, I can believe she reads regularly.

The live this morning was disgusting. She was over the top loud, annoying & smug, As much as I don’t like Mank? she never lets him get a word in edge ways, constantly butting in and talking over the top of him. I don’t understand how he does blow his top and tell her to stfu.
Mind you, when he did manage to speak on a subject I can’t even remember I found myself drifting off to sleep, such was the boredom.
How ‘kind’ she was regarding Gwineth Paltrow. I don’t have feelings on her one way or the other. She’s a Hollywood star so bound to be a bit out there, it’s no big deal to me what she does. Nittys comments smacked of jealousy and nastiness.

I can’t stand having my photo taken, let alone be seen by thousands on you tube. I don’t class myself by any of these labels. I just don’t like my fat chin and other bits, so don’t want to be reminded of them in a photo.

To be honest, I was so horrifed by what I dug up this morning - inc the sensory abuse that was the Star Wars documentary - that I didn't even scroll down past page 6. That is half the national wage, before tax. I'm sorry but I am also a South Londoner with Picturehouse membership - I was going to post the price of annual membership but they appear to have mixed things up since lockdown. Even though I still have 2 free tickets and can walk to my local Picturehouse, I wouldn't dream of going at the moment. We're all still in the middle of a global pandemic and there's more than enough for us to do and watch at home.There used to be an annual family membership but this appears to have been replaced with Membership Plus (£88.40). Both entitle you to 8 free tickets and £2 off every visit to any London PictureHouse without a paying a booking fee. Of course, there's also student membership for full time students who can show ID. Sadly, that rules Maddie and KiKi out despite the cinema being their classroom.
There are / were also free Sunday morning screenings and £5 mystery films - ideal fodder for the Popcorn Junkies.These accounts make absolutely no sense, esp as they were filed around the time they started their bleeping family YT channel: Aug 25, 2014 when poor M took on the burden of editing their vlogs every day. They would literally have to be in the cinema with Di, Betty, Teddy and Tariq + a vat of wine (coffees for M) and a large popcorn each on repeat 24/7. From what I've seen, even N rarely joins in with the cinema. Her wearing that plastic face shield for their recent cinema visit with Maddie's boyfriend, like the attention-seeking twit she is, stood out because it's usually M on his own or with Maddie or Di. N's more likely to view shite TV from the comfort of her sofa / on her phone in bed, where she can itch her vag to her heart's content. The cinema is v much M's domain; unless there's a premier and photographers on the red carpet with N's estranged sister's ex-boyfriend dong his best to avoid her at the end of it.

Really good value but we only had one week before lockdown kicked in and were refunded in full. Even if the SwadderEleys claimed for refreshments (which are extortionate but they'd get 20% off) to sate the gluttons within, how the duck did they spend £14K on the cinema in one year!

@missmickey - I probably live in the same-ish area as you and I wonder if they're also going to the Everyman which is quite a bit pricier although £14k seems downright impossible. Unless you're smashing several bottles of wine during the film?????

I just watched this too. Can’t believe how much better they both look. Don’t know how Nadia can say they’ve both lost weight and are fitter since lockdown. They look awful now in comparison to six months ago. She’s in denial as usual.

I mentioned this a few threads ago, but they were needlessly overdisclosing on their accounts - that'll be their accountants fleecing them! They don't need to give a breakdown of their expenses - or even produce a P&L at all.
I haven't ever heard of admin expenses being grouped together into a disclosure like that anyway.
Anyway, they've since reverted to just showing a P&L and balance sheet without any further disclosures - so we won't get this level of detail again.

OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, the MUST be reported to HMRC!As a Limited Company they will have to pay income and corporation tax. This is where we see the true 'genius' of M's accounting.

In 2016 their turnover or total business income was £490,267 down from £795,577 the previous year.
So, despite a massive drop in income in real terms, N&M (probably solely N) earned almost half a million pounds in 2016!
Whilst the £3K per episode of LW figure bandied around on here doesn't sit well with me, N's certainly been earning a fortune. Life is not fair when it comes to money. But then we see the champagne socialists getting richer, because M deducted so many 'administrative expenses' from this that they only paid tax on £17,145.
This is madness, they paid £3,462 tax to HMRC on an income of £490,267 in 2016.
This is 0.7% tax! I'd call this a sliver, rather than a chunk.
We run our own limited company. We learn less than N&M but pay significantly more tax than this. This is because we deduct our legitimate business expenses before paying tax and then pay for our living expenses.
I've seen how M&N live on YT, bleeping spendthrifts. They spend money like water before paying tax.
Food, storage containers, plants, other garden tit (minus the stolen gravel for the Ibiza path), luxury food, cinema memberships, take aways, regular theatre tickets, coffee machine and pods,home schooling costs, food, petrol, London Congestion Charge, magazine subscriptions, designer Tshirts for M, gallery memberships, meals out, the latest toys for M's cave, kitchen gadgets, M's new laptop (Does N own one of her own?), holidays, cocktails at Soho House for N and she probably treats Lee and Lisa (herfriendsstaff), wifi (although they could legitimately ask for a refund - those pesky gremlins are forever messing the poor submissives around
Then there's Vlogmas; I Can't Even Go There. The waste and greed they exhibited last year started the ball rolling that lead me to tattle.
You see, Mr 'purse strings' M has quite the lifestyle despite earning jack tit. It's a shame he can't appreciate it because of this This may even have been all about the kitchen extension, which was paid for from N's 2015 appearance on Big Brother. This would be doubly immoral, as we all know that adding space and therefore value to your home means you're quids in on resale value (especially in London). Either that or they are paying Michelle a 6 figure salary.
I think it's easy to read a lot into their company accounts, but there are a few nuances to consider.
Taking 2017 as an example, the 'Tax' line as tax in the P&L doesn't show all the tax they'll be paying - there's a lot more to it.
One thing to note is the 'staff costs' line. This is certainly them paying themselves a salary. It's almost exactly the basic rate band plus the personal allowance for one person in both 2017 and 2016, which is unlikely to be a coincidence. Salary is obviously still taxed, but as income tax.
They're then paying themselves the rest through dividends, which won't show on the P&L. You can tell because the movement in capital and reserves goes from £68k in 2016 to £2k in 2017 - but the company has historically been profitable. So the movement has to be dividends of at least £65k which they'll be paying income tax on.
Dividends are taxed through income tax, but at a lower rate than salary which makes a big difference when you get into the higher bands - hence the salary/dividend split between the bands.
In 2017, they'll therefore likely have paid income tax on at least £115k (£65k dividends + £50k salary). That's on top of the corporation tax they paid on £40k of profit before tax. This is totally fine to do, and is very common and good tax planning.
That's not to justify £15k at the cinema, but things may not be quite as bad as they seem!

The Everyman at Crystal Palace looks really lovely - have you been? I think they probably do go to the Everyman as they show different films to the Picturehouse (same reason they also go to the Curzon and claim for their numerous online subscriptions) but the Crystal Palace Everyman Cinema didn't open until November 2018, so wouldn't have featured during the accounting period I've been looking at.I am bloody speechless I am.
