That’s what I suspected, thanks for confirming but that just makes it even sadder that gender disappointment is so obvious these days. why can’t people be happy just to have a baby? 6 hours after having son no 2(a long time ago) the family planning nurse came round and when I told her I’d got a little boy at home, she said ‘never mind, you can try for a girl next time’

I went to be sterilized..Dr said ( female) while I was gowned up ready to go down to theatre " wouldn't you like a girl"? I said NO I was happy with 4 children. I kid you not " what if one of them dies"? Aghast I said " I wouldn't/couldn't replace them! I have had four kids and I want no more!!! Never regretted my decision...
I've also lost count if the times I've been asked " aw did you want a girl"?
Which I think is bleeping awful and tit for my son's as if them being boys was a disappointment to us!

That happened to me when my 3rd son was born. I got a lot of ‘awww you’ll just have to have another one’

Didnt help that my ex shouted duck sake and stormed out the delivery room crying when he was born.
My mam thought something had happened to me or the baby so she came running in crying then when she found out it was just because I’d had a boy she went back out and started hitting him. The security man had to come and pull her off.
Bare in mind me ex was 6ft 3 and built like a brick shithouse and my mam is 5ft and less 7st.

Poor Roj watching him play with a baby toy because most of his toys have been taken to the tip and the others he's not allowed out where is his digger, kitchen, burger bar? Where's the Peppa, Paw Petrol brightly coloured plastic crap they love. Upsetting.

My thoughts exactly. We have 2 girls. One is a 10 year old goth ( loves wolves, Halloween, minecraft and play mobil).The other is 5 and into LOL dolls, peppa pig, lego. Our 3 storey house is full of toys, crafts, teddys and colour. I do have OCD so the mess does stress me out at times.But that is my thing and I just have to breathe and enjoy the chaos. All grey is so dull. Those kids need colour. Sadly, these influencers are literally influencing other mums ( in particular). I know of 2 who long for this life style and their kids toys are shipped out the minute they turn their backs.Its all screens as soon as they hit 3 or 4. The masses of gifts pictured for Christmas and birthdays are never seen again. It is tragic.

It's like when you are pregnant and people ask, do you want a boy or a girl, I didn't really care, as long as they are healthy and happy. Does it really matter or do people really want to know..my youngest is 5 and even now if I got asked, I still wouldnt care to answer. If my girls wanted cars and action figures they got them. Ive never cared for pushing them into dolls or Barbie's.

It's funny you say that because when people asked me I didn't say outright that I had a preference, but that when I pictured myself as a mum it was always with a little boy, and then we had a boy. But bottom line I just wanted a healthy, happy child.

I have two boys and a girl. Thought my girl would have been a boy and would have been happy with three boys. Love mummy's boys anyway when they're little. After my first I was told I couldn't have anymore so I just feel so happy and lucky to have my other two regardless of their sex. People like Stacey and Hinch duck me off. Ss banging on just because it's a girl and hinch clearly desperate for a girl now. I bet hinch wants to catch up with ss and have 4 kids. She wants everything she wants After all...must be 3 boys and a girl to to match.

I always wanted a boy but that’s because I’m 4th generation of women who have terrible relationships with their mothers in my family. I have a boy, it was my mother who said to me have another and have a girl this time, I didn’t, I’ve got the one and life’s fine.
Also my house is full of his toys, sideboard has all his games, books and paints in, boxes of toys in the lounge and his room resembles a bizarre toy shop, a long with stickers on the door and walls, pictures, posters etc.
I can’t tell you how damaging it is for kids to not let them have crap, and also in the family space, well I can actually because that was my life and I really felt never welcome or at home, even in my own bedroom which had such a controlled environment too! Same as R&L. It’s so sad, they never get this time again.

Tbf my 2.5 year old daughter likes playing with my 6 month old daughters (sorry newborn) toys. I’m sure it’s because she’s like hang on a minute that was mine!!

She looses interest in them though because she has plenty of toys everywhere until she’s in bed. I can’t even imagine thinking of putting them away or in barrskITs when she was awake. She’d be climbing up me, getting the barrrrskits and launching them at my head! For the absolute cheek and nerve of tidying up her perfectly messy toy piles all over the place.

I really hope Ron doesn’t just sit there playing with Lennies toys though. She should have all the toys out to let him explore as much as possible.

I have so many thoughts on this charade... Yes my mind is racing with it all. This journey that she is on literally isn't a journey it's a disaster waiting to happen, she needs to learn to cope with her mental illness and take back the control of herself. Got this from the end of the last thread and wanted to add about the science - I have two boys and when I was pregnant with the second my consultant said the likelihood of the third being a boy was higher for me because genetically they come in threes. Of course there are people who have two then the opposite sex that I know! I agree about the trying for the opposite sex, a baby is a blessing especially as there are people who long for a child regardless.
In my own experience, I wanted a girl for my second and did have gender disappointment I won’t lie, but then had some very rare complications after my 20 week scan and was over the moon we were both healthy when he was born. Made me feel guilty for wanting a girl! Anyhow, we want a third but I don’t think it’ll be a ‘try for a girl’

Thank you so much for carrying this over from the previous thread. Im pregnant with boy no.2 ill not lie, I had a little bit of gender disappointment. But the stronger the movements are getting i feel so guilty for it and absolutely blessed to be carrying a healthy baby regardless of gender. And this will be out last so no "trying" for a girl x

I was talking with a girl last night in my local shop. I've known her my whole life, but wouldn't necessarily call her a friend if you know what I mean. She's pregnant with her first and she asked if i had any advice for her.
I knew she was a big hinch fan so I couldn't help myself. I told her not to belive Instagram, especially the likes of hinch because she's a fake cow and has help 24/7 including a cleaner.
