Thank you, we are just plodding along and doing our best. The tail end of our second wave is being incredibly stubborn but we are all hopeful. The people in this city know we have one shot to do this right, so we are all just.... sitting. I have a one year old who now screams uncontrollably when she sees family on facetime because she has no bloody clue who her grandparents are, and a large portion of her family she is yet to meet. She’s never been to a playground. She has never seen water outside of a bathtub. My nephew hasn’t seen his dad since December as he was working overseas and our boarders are shut. We have no idea when he will be allowed home. I started a small business last year, we are closed until at minimum, next year.

Sophie has absolutely no clue, and has some absolute bleeping nerve.

I know lots of you have commented on the dog under the table but when I saw it my blood ran cold. My son is 47 now but still has two scars on his face from an identical situation from when he was a toddler. Mam's dog which was always a friendly, docile labrador was under her kitchen table and unbeknown to us in a second my son toddled in and tried to get under the table with him I will never forget the scream from my son or the rush to A & E. I do hope she reads Tattle as she is putting that little lad at risk and what is more stupid is she is filming it so couldn't even intervene if she had to. Mam's dog had to be put down although really he was only protecting his personal space. She is an absolute fool to think that the dog sees the little lad as his brother.

This is absolutely correct, I have had dogs all my life and I had one before my first child was born, the dog was never his brother, the dog was the dog and my child was my son. I was fully aware that rules and boundaries had to be obeyed on both sides.
The children were taught to respect the dog and the dog was allowed time and space away. Henry is constantly being touched and poked and pulled...Henry seems to have no free space, he gets on that bench thing and Ron gets him, under the table and Ron is there?
This will not end well, they are two grown up idiots!!

I’m so behind on these speedy threads but I can’t but feel that garden footage is old pre recorded she’s dragged up hence the gloves. Not so much the picture of Ron as it was carefully taken with nothing in the background. The pushchair was outside but surely it’s to chilly for him to be napping in the garden now?

I am bloody sick of hearing people say we are all in this together, because reality is we are not. Everyone’s situation is different and I just have no sympathy for people like hinch and SS that have a full family in their nice, warm and fully stocked home and the only inconvenience is that they can’t see their pals for a night out. There’s some people that are absolutely on their arse financially or living on their own and still manage to express their gratitude for what they have and how it could be worse. It’s so selfish to say we are all in this together when some people have no idea just how bad it can get. It’s not an ideal situation for anyone and I understand everyone will have their struggles. But I just think hinch and ss need to shut up now because they have no idea.

Exactly this. Our Jack Russell did exactly the same. She has no idea about dog behaviour and it’s only a matter of time before Henry turns on Ronnie.

She’s very quiet this morning. I messaged her last night, something I’ve never done before. I wasn’t mean or nasty, I just asked her to show some humility and compassion as to what is going on in the world at the moment and to be grateful for what she’s got (health, wealth etc) and stop with the woe is me act as it’s doing her no favours.
