From what I can gather on her IG, she’s fed up of men making money from apps that track your menstrual cycle. So she’s giving it a go and going to try and make money from it with a book instead 🙄
Aside from that, I completely agree. What adult woman needs a book about menstruation telling them that they’ve been doing periods wrong all this time? The sheer arrogance of these people.
I have just read one of her posts where she says her 3 year old son begs her to bleed into the bath water more so he can get in a red bath. She’s unhinged.

Jesus wept. She thinks she’s the wokest of the woke wimmin.
Talking about pearly hairslides 'that everyone is wearing now"....there is not an original bone in her body right now....god help anyone whom comes across her; professionally and or socially. DOOMED!

On your last point why do we even need books about periods?? I’ve been having mine 24 years now and iv never once needed a manual on it despite currently have random issues with my ‘cycle’.

Women have been bleeding from their tuppys for bleeping millennia and have got by perfectly well without having some up her own arse, alternative therapy fanny warrior bleating on about them in a book that will end up filling the shelves of everyone’s local PoundLand.

God I am in a foul mood tonight and just having a gander at her insta page as made me almost spontaneously menstruate - I wonder if she’d like to put a chapter about that in her book.
You are hilarious.

From my brief look at her posts, it would seem that we all needed a book to tell us that when we ovulate we feel energetic, sexy and social. Surprisingly just before our period we feel down, low energy and moody. After our period we feel something else. It’s really mind blowing stuff. She’s branded these never before heard of parts of our cycles as seasons.

What's wrong with keeping track of your menstrual cycle in a diary?....may be old school but worked for me!

Is it a special period diary retailing at £14.99 though? Surprised MOD or FOD didn’t come up with the idea first.

Yes, with a special lady garden map to show all of us where our vaginas and vulvas are, you know because none of us with vaginas and vulvas know anything about them.

I really don’t think a 3 year old boy needs to know that much detail. I wouldn’t expect a 3 year old girl to be able to label all the bits of a man’s genitals either.

I get what you are saying but the caption that mod put on her promo photo says no scans, not opted out of some. Personally I think that Maisie probably does lack the capacity to make reasonable, safe choices as she probably opted out of scans to have a good talking point. After all her main aim is selling people a dubious book about periods.
In a medical, legal sense competency to make a decision even if it’s unwise is about your ability to weigh and retain information - even if you then come to a decision the medical professional would advise against you have the freedom to make it. Lacking capacity to make choices is different to simply making informed albeit unwise decisions.

I doubt she opted out of all scans just to be interesting. Her reasons may make no sense to us and may be different to ours, but again, she’s got the right to do so if she has that capacity.

I was being humorous about her. Obviously she is technically capable of making that decision. I do personally feel that it veered into the grey area of mother’s rights over baby’s rights but that’s just my opinion and not one I’d care to defend hugely.

I’m not trying to offend but are you Clemmie in disguise 😂...just joking. I get your point, I just don’t personally think that Mod should be promoting it. Just my view.

She’s an expert though, done lots of courses! 😂
I think she needs her own thread!

I don’t care why she made her decisions I just don’t like the idea that she might influence someone else to make that decision resulting in dire consequences and yes it would be great if everyone was super sensible and not swayed by others but some are. I personally can’t see why some people seem to be ‘sticking up for her’ but that’s their right just as it’s my right to think she is at best bonkers and worse irresponsible and it’s one thing to make those decisions privately and another to be on a podcast going on about them ‘potentially’ sowing that seed in others

I think she does need her own thread as she’s in danger of taking this one over 👍
Agreed. Although the real point is that mod is using her midwifery to sell stuff but simultaneously claiming that what she’s doing is nothing to do with giving a medical opinion. I think she is being deeply unethical.

Imagine if a specialist in any other field did this. Imagine if a cardiologist had a podcast where they chatted to someone who believed heart attacks could be prevented if people ate bee pollen. There’d be uproar if they didn’t at least question the person a bit about that view.

What The Fucketty duck have I just read? I have teenage girls. We are open about periods, my little boy and little girl are not hidden from this and the pads are around and my teenagers will often choose not to swim if on their period so it’s an open discussion. The younger children are not worried about what periods are but they are certainly not overly interested either.
Maybe this was FODs experience and why he’s now so vulva obsessed.

Yep I know. 🙄 I’m no prude. I think, for safeguarding, it’s important for children to know the right names for everything. However, at 3 years old I don’t think a child needs to know the exact name of the opposite gender’s bits. Why do they even need to know yet?!?

Is he taking the piss?? Perhaps he should be more concerned about the lack of time MoD seems to spend with the rest of them - oh yeah, she’s there but glued to her phone 🙄 - rather than what the rest of us mere mortals are doing 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anything to get a mention of a #gifted product in 🙄😖😖
It might have been a joke, but spending just 90 mins a day is rather sad. I spend more more than double that with my cat .:ROFLMAO:
