That's her thing now, her thing to be known for. What career did she leave to breastfeed? She didn't have one!
This is her reply to someone saying they are stopping breastfeeding for their mental and physical well-being. Talking about how sheās going to get mastitis and abceses and distressing the child and how formula feeding is harder than breastfeeding because of bacteria and you need to be more alert in case you drown the child. How is that helpful? Why does she feel the need to be so condescending all the time?

Thatās the line I re-read a few times. I donāt understand what she means by that? On the NHS website it says:
- protect your health ā breastfeeding lowers your risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, osteoporosis (weak bones), diabetes and cardiovascular disease (conditions affecting the heart or blood vessels)
- Breastfeeding benefits for your baby
Breast milk is tailor-made for your baby and:
- contains vitamins and minerals
- is always available
- offers protection from certain infections
- helps improve your baby's long-term health.
- Breastfeeding also reduces the risk of SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome), childhood diabetes and leukaemia.
I suppose this is what sheās getting at, but it wouldnāt save healthcare systems billions of Ā£/ā¬ would it?
It would only save billions if every diabetes, breast cancer and leukaemia case were solely due to formula feeding and not to bad luck. People are not to blame for their childās illnesses. Sheās over simplifying it as usual.
Iād love to know where those stats come from considering they donāt know why those conditions occur in the first place.
