Completely agree with this & appreciate all you said.Right excuse the rant but I skimmed through her video and she's after really pissing me off.
She has absolutely no right to give anyone any tips of things to do to increase chances of getting pregnant, she clearly has no fertility issues and has no idea what it feels like to not know if you can get pregnant at all.
She goes on about bullshit like 'research shows that women with too high a bmi can take twice as long to get pregnant' and talk about how it's important to keep a healthy weight. The BMI scale is completely outdated and inaccurate- you cannot tell someone's health from their weight. Furthermore, where are your sources for all the research Melanie? Facebook doesn't count. Also, women with actual fertility issues such as PCOS can gain weight solely due to their condition, and their fertility struggles are caused by their conditions, not by their bleeping weight. Will she ever cop the absolute duck onto herself.
At the end of the day, there is nothing you can do to speed along conception, it will happen when it happens. For some people like Melanie, it will happen so easily, and for others, it will be a lot harder to conceive. There is nothing you can change about your lifestyle that can actually be the sole reason that you did or didn't get pregnant.
She needs to stop talking about topics that she is not qualified to talk about. You are not a doctor Melanie, nor are you a fertility specialist, a dietician, or a teacher. You are nothing more than someone who talks to a camera with no skills whatsoever.
Having zero friends probably has something to do with this. She has no idea what an average person her own age is like.I’m confused about why she is acting like 30/31 is an old age to conceive and cannot believe that she feels that any of the steps she took had an sort of impact. Obviously there’s many different paths to parenthood and many different ways conceiving etc. can be difficult and not discounting that. But 30 is surely a very average even young age by today’s standards? Also promoting a natural family planning app that has been roundly criticised seems very cynical.
We’ve caught her out on this so many times she’s a disgraceCan't actually believe she had the neck to post that video?? I won't be watching because I don't want to feel like shite.
I hope anyone who watched it and are struggling are minding themselves. She is not an authority or an information point for factual information on anything let alone fertility.
The Wiki for melanie is up. I added to it just to get it off the ground. Please feel free to delete it all/edit as you wish. I was doing it from my phone and it's not great. A good place to keep all her BS in one place.

She's being pulled up in YouTube comments. We’ve caught her out on this so many times she’s a disgrace
I remember on her posts after the baby someone said they were feeling broody looking at her and she said she was the same when she saw that kind of content online every month when she was on her period before she fell pregnant ?She's being pulled up in YouTube comments.
Big difference between her saying- irregular periods and now backpedalling with- cycles changing a little
Cycles changing or deviating by a few days is totally normal.
She's changing her tune and backtracking on what she's previously said, which indicates to me *a big fat liar*

Her sisters even worse she’s telling her younger viewers the pill was ‘fuckin with her head ‘Also, why do people have this idea that hormonal contraceptives are poisonous or dangerous? It can be a lifesaver for some people and its so frustrating seeing people act like its some awful thing.
Yes, you may have to figure out which method works for you (I went from the minipill to the hormonal coil and I feel SO much better, I even have a regular on-the-dot period for the first time in my life). But natural family planning doesnt always work for some people, especially people with PCOS and endo who have highly irregular periods and fertility windows.
She needs to shut the duck up... she got pregnant immediately and has no right to tell other women how to increase their chance of conceiving.
And don't forget how Melanie stated in her own words mind you taking a pregnancy test days before my next period was due.I remember on her posts after the baby someone said they were feeling broody looking at her and she said she was the same when she saw that kind of content online every month when she was on her period before she fell pregnant ?
Her sisters even worse she’s telling her younger viewers the pill was ‘fuckin with her head ‘View attachment 700778and she’s resorted to using the natural method , how many unplanned pregnancies could occur from that View attachment 700780
I don’t think it’s so much the demonising (Jess) it’s the sheer stupidity on advising a young audience on using natural cycles, especially if they’re not used to tracking their cycles they might think they can do a temp check once a month and that’s them coveredSo I use natural cycles - have for just under two years I think? Anyway, if you use it to avoid pregnancy it tells you to use condoms when there’s a risk. So it’s not completely Catholic NFP (where condoms would be a no-no, and you abstain instead). It works for me to track my cycle and ovulation, but I’m also not actively avoiding pregnancy or trying to get pregnant (single, no current sexual partner etc) and so can afford the margin of error. I reallllly hate the way they get influencers to advertise for them, and the way influencers who do promote them demonise hormonal options. Makes me want to discontinue my subscription.
You have to temp at the same time every morning without fail the second you wake up. That's grand for a woman actively trying, along with checking cervical mucus. But to advertise this tit to young girls as a fork of contraception?A lot of effort.I don’t think it’s so much the demonising (Jess) it’s the sheer stupidity on advising a young audience on using natural cycles, especially if they’re not used to tracking their cycles they might think they can do a temp check once a month and that’s them covered
