Actually I read that when they did few researches they realized that those that eat meat are more often depleted in vitamin B. But I think it is because vegans tend to be very cautious about what they eat and so on.I also love cheese but I read cheddar has the highest fat content of any cheese so cheese on toast is a luxury nowadays. I will not be parted from my pizza though, sorry!
I don't get the big deal about B12, I thought most meat eaters would have more than enough. It's only people like me who eat plant based diets that may be deficient.
I slipped into eating cheese after almost 10y of being plant based.
All the problems I have mentioned I had with absorption kind a changed and things got much better after I switched to plant based. I read that iron is much more easily absorbed from plant than from meat. I don’t know if it is true (obv not a dr) but it kind a helped me.
With vit B - nutritional yeast helped me a lot. Plus it is so good to add into sauces To achieve a bit of cheese taste .
