Isn’t all this pumping going to be detrimental to her supply? Granted I never had a good supply in first place but my midwife always told me to hold off pumping until about 6 weeks in so your supply is established?
Yep, she could cause herself to have an oversupply.
Can’t believe she has sleep books 😩🤦🏼‍♀️

I unfollowed just after she announced, as soon as she announced you just knew she was going to be super annoying! I was pregnant at the same time so not jealousy but reading this thread makes me chuckle as I still don't follow so can only imagine how she's being 🤦🏼‍♀️

Is she expecting her newborn to sleep through the night? He is awake because he needs something, I'd be worried if my new born was getting a full 8 hours 🙄

10 hours sleep with a baby who’s 3 weeks old piss off. Even if my hubby does the night feeds still wake up when my baby who same age cries cause I’m on auto pilot. She’s moaning about lack of sleep she needs to wise up what do you expect with a new born baby

I don’t know what she expects, he’s nine days old! Of course you aren’t sleeping like you were before he was born. It’s way too early to be reading sleep books, the baby is still trying to work out why he’s not where he’s used to where it’s safe. Poor little baby!
As for Ryan doing ten hours with the baby, there is no way I could have done that when my baby was born, I was shattered but you just get on with it, your his mum!! How is she not waking up when he does?
The novelty has worn off very quickly hasn’t it now she’s realised babies are HARD. WORK.

Yup my boobs would have woken me up looks like she has done same last night ,or she makes a hella lot of milk - but pumping and feeding can get messy when your supply doesn’t match the needs of baby I hope she avoids engorging clogging blocking or worse-I also am going to say people that show how much they can pump are bragging,if
It was an oz either side she wouldn’t show it 🙄

This!! I didn’t know much as a first time mum, I was as naive as everyone else, but one thing I did know was that I was going to be tired.

The expectations she has are plain weird. ‘10 hours sleep and I feel great!’ Wow spare a thought for those of us who’s kid didn’t sleep though until they were 4, still regularly wake up and tell you they’ve had a bad dream, and then are up for the day from 5am!

My youngest didn’t do anything close to sleeping through until she was over a year either. I’ve been tired for 5 years - how does she think the rest of us cope?

She should have made use of all the rest before he was born but instead she moaned about not going before her due date. Unbelievable! Finding all the breastfeeding posts just so braggy, close to unfollowing.

Why are people finding it so hard to understand....
  • Make your #AD clear before engagement.
  • A tiny #ad at the end of a post as long as the new testament is unacceptable and sneaky.
  • Your baby is not a money maker.
  • You are not the first person in the world to have a baby.
  • Your moral compass should tell you that selling unessesary crap to cash poor mums is very, very wrong.
IT REALLY IS THAT SIMPLE!!!!
STOP BEING SELFISH!!!

I’m really confused about why she is expressing in the middle of the night (and her need to share it but that’s another matter). It’s still really early days, how is her supply ever going to settle down?

I thought that, feed your baby! Neither her body or her baby will have a clue what she’s up to!

She probably didn’t get any advice as she wouldn’t go to ante-natal classes would she? I’m assuming she’s pumping so much because she wants a good stretch of sleep. Guess what Lucy - newborns don’t sleep! My baby was on a strict 4 hourly feed schedule because he was little, so yeah, we got used to it. I really think the reality is setting in for her.

Agree don’t think she realised newborn baby wants regular feeds I’m three to four hourly and like you say get used to little sleep main thing baby is fed. Genuinely think her and Lydia just thought a baby was playing dolls

I agree, really think she needs some breastfeeding advice. Why didn’t she go to any support groups or anything before the birth? There’s lots doing Skype and phone conversations at the minute with the current situation.

I just can’t fathom their ideas around sleep. Haven’t their mums told them anything about what newborns are like?

Lucy especially seems so ill-informed, all this pumping as well won’t do her supply any good. It worries me how many people will be looking to her as the right way to do it.
