I know right. I always get a card from my cats lol and I send them too! Ive been following this thread and I find it so odd how people will pick out innocuous things like cards from cats and having cute bear patterned diaries as ‘evil’ and ‘tell tale signs of a weirdo’ - almost as if they’re enjoying psychoanalysing her and other serial killers like it’s a TV show. These things don’t inherently make you a weird person, can we just focus on her actual charged crimes please 🥲
I feel the same way about the teddies on the bed - I'm nearly 30 and have loads of cuddly toys on my bed and it's pretty disheartening to hear people talk about it like it's a red flag of some kind of personality disorder.

A recent study found that 25% of all toy sales are now purchased by adults for themselves, it's nothing weird or anything to be alarmed by.

I don’t eat animals because I think their lives are worth while, I mean heck 30% of India is vegetarian because they don’t think you should exploit animals. I have never once thought it would be a good idea to get a job as a nurse so I could murder innocent babies.

Caring about animals doesn’t make you a psychopath, evidence usually suggests the opposite, with cruelty to animals normally a starting sign of distressing and disturbing tendencies.

It’s definitely a massive reach to try and claim that because she loved her cats people should have been aware that she’s the devil incarnate which seems to be what people are trying to get at…

I’ve followed this trial in the press, not on here as it’s too heavy for me personally, but what I’ve been struck by is just how little we know about her. It’s actually kind of terrifying that there doesn’t seem to be any identifying factor for why she is the way she is. It makes me feel like it could literally be anyone, which is really very terrifying.

Two points for this crazy off-topic:
  1. Morality evolved to cope with situations that occur regularly in society. Almost no one is going to be in a situation where they have to decide on whether to save either a human stranger or a beloved pet. So judging people for how they say they would respond in a crazy abstract situation doesn't get you very far.
  2. What people say they would do in this crazy abstract situation is not necessarily what they actually would do if by some freak chance they ever found themselves in it.

You and me both! And magic mixies, furbies, Lego to name a few 🤣

May she never feel safe again. Just as she took the safety from them babies. She will forever be looking over her shoulder inside, forever wondering if someone’s tampered with her food or if someone’s waiting round a corner for her. She will have a number on her head wherever she goes. She will never be at peace and I hope she has no sense of routine and her life is made as difficult and uncomfortable as possible. I’m sure a few of the guards would happily turn a blind eye to let someone at her for a few minutes. She will never stroke her cats again, sit in her garden in the sunshine, wander around matalan care free. Lucy you are evil, you did this, and you deserve everything you’re gonna get.
What’s the matalan reference please??

Why does everybody have to be offended by everything? Some people think having teddies on the bed as an adult is fine, some think it’s odd. It’s just an opinion.

In LL’s case it could be a sign that she’s immature, babied by her parents, or it could mean absolutely nothing at all.

It’s all speculation, we interpret things differently. Not one person is right and even if you were you wouldn’t know it because no one knows the truth. Except maybe Letby herself.

For those like Lucy who refuse to attend court should have their sentence broad casted on loud speaker to the wing of the prison where they are going to spend their first part of sentence.

Then nothing for her to do (no books, papers etc) for a period time to make them think about what they have done.

All comfort items (like her blankets) should be removed from from her and destroyed. She should not have anything of comfort.
Going forward her cell should be just the absolute minimum with random books and paper /pen to occupy her. No tv. No visits. 1 hour outside for activity.

Randomly and regularly she should be moved without notice and not told where she’s going.

She should have no choice but to be studied including mri and Ct’s whilst still alive to see how the brains of evil killers work.
If she stops eat then a ng rammed down her throat seems operate with major over feeding /liquid pumped in on occasions.

What did I read about her Dad arranging her teddies on her bed. That’s pretty odd isn’t it?!

I know what you mean. I was thinking about it last night and (with my very limited knowledge on these things) I thought if life was that "beige" and "vanilla" and "boring" as we think hers was, and if she did have psychopathic or sociopathic tendencies or disorders... is this the only way she could get any kind of thrill in her normal life? Was living on the edge of being caught and doing the most horrendous things literally just that? To feel something because life isn't exciting to her? And would YOU admit something so awful? No one would. So obviously she will deny it forever. I am hugely speculating here obviously. Just some thoughts, but in truth we will probably never know.

ETA: I am in no way sympathising here, the things she did were abhorrent!

Is it correct that because Letby refused to attend court she’ll lose privileges? This is only course of action .

It's one thing to think it's odd, it's another thing to draw the conclusion that someone must be crazy or suffer from some kind of personality disorder because they have teddies ffs. I think people are reading far too much into the psychopathy of these things that a large proportion of the population partake in.

Just catching up. Sorry if this has already been mentioned but I’ve just scared myself by catching sight of Joanna Dennehy’s mugshot in the Mail. I was wondering when Letby had got a face tattoo until I realised it was Dennehy’s mugshot I was looking at. She could be Lucifer’s big sis! o_O At least they can have lots of lovely sleepovers together for the rest of their lives!

I felt every word and every emotion coming from the parents.

My heart does not break for them...instead it breaks with them.

In her notes, Lucy wrote 'I don't know if many people will think of you today or any day but I do and will always remember'

To Lucy, people will always think of those babies. We will think about how strong their parents are and each birthday will be celebrated with balloons and lit candles.
Lucy, you may have tainted the parents memories but you can never take away the love that they feel for their babies.

Now you are incarcerated for eternity, may you remember your crimes every day. May you be haunted by your actions. May you feel the pain of being without life.

No Lucy, you are not good enough. And karma is a wonderful thing because your own parents will have lost their own daughter. Well at least you will no longer feel suffocated by them...
The irony is that despite being Lucy's biggest supporter her parents are victims of Lucy's crimes. They will never see their daughter outside of prison and have grandchildren. They will become notorious as the parents of a serial killer and fear attack. The world is now wondering where they went wrong and looking to blame them. I don't know if they are terrible people or not but they are loving and loyal parents and Lucy has thrown that back at them and ruined their lives.

Wtf? Did you mean for your comment to sound as insane as it sounds? Are you trying to say that a disabled child would be better off dead? I've never heard such bull. Gosh, I have relatives with learning disabilities and there's no way I'd rather they weren't here! You know, actually they are some of the kindest most beautiful people I know. I don't think this is the time or place for bs comments like this.

What planet are some people on?!
My daughter is one of the sweetest, most innocent, non judgmental teenagers there is. My world would be so much less without her here.
