I might not agree with the posters opinion or way of seeing the subject but with respect they are as entitled to be here as you, I wouldn’t want to see anyone pushed out or feel unwelcome. They have apologised on several occasions now and it’s clear there wasn’t ill intent. Clumsy words yes, but no malicious intention to anger or upset anyone here. Everything discussed in this thread is emotive and distressing and extremely sensitive. Sorry to butt in but I sense everyone is on edge after a hugely emotional case and outcome X
Agree. I think the post was not intended to cause offence or ill feeling, and I could see where the poster was coming from, though I don’t share their view.
We aren’t here to have comments deleted that we don’t agree with. It’s an open forum and that poster is as entitled to her comment as I am to mine and as you are to yours.
There’s bleeping LOADS on these threads and forums that’s triggering to someone.
In the kindest possible way, if it really is triggering you to read someone’s clumsily worded comment,
Maybe take a wee bit of time out.

that’s not meant to be challenging, btw.

Absolutely agree. Someone who has a pet they adore is obviously going to value that pet over a person they have no attachment to.
They might *value* them more than a person they have no attachment to, but I would certainly hope that if they had to choose between the life of someone else's human CHILD and their own pet, they would choose the child.

I’m a woman who can’t conceive and I’d absolutely refer to my babies (pets) in the same value

I agree lol exactly what I meant about people wanting to speculate on every aspect of human behaviour. I said It’s not weird to send or receive cards from your cat and this person is now acting like there’s a gun to the head of both an innocent child and my cat 🥲🥲🥲 bizarre!
I think it's relevant, that's OK if you don't.

If you're coming at it from that perspective then really most of human psychology is a reach. The little things matter. They say a lot about us.

My cousin gets me a birthday card from her dog - mainly because she wants my continued services as a dog sitter. None of us are planning on becoming evil serial killers any time soon
I made my cat a birthday cake and my sweep made his dog one
As yet we haven't become raging psychos

Jesus H Christ - reading the wiki and looking at her diary entries, I noticed she had been taking salsa classes in my town at the same time she was murdering innocent little babies. Absolutely terrifying to think I may have crossed paths with a child murderer at some point and been none the wiser 🤢

I’m on holiday atm, within the U.K. and dogs are everywhere with their families, I’ve not ever seen so many dogs😊. The ones we’ve sat next to are treated like their children , even with their offspring children next to them. I love it , dogs are so expressive, loyal and lovely❤

*cat owner here, cats are much harder to read and own the house they live in 🐱 .

I've been wondering why this name rings a bell so much... I've just realised those murders were local to me
I use her picture when teaching A level - the name never rings a bell with students, but when I show the picture of her posing with a knife, they've all seen it.

I'm not outraged at the comparison, it's just that I've lost a baby and I've lost a pet, and I very much know which one was worse.
But a lot of people do hold their pets as equal or above them. I know I do. But just because YOU don’t and YOU don’t understand how anyone can , it doesn’t mean you can call those people murderers ffs

If LL does go to the prison Joanna Dennehy is at then will Joanna know who she is? Will she be able to 'get to her'? And will Joanna know she's coming to the prison? How does it work? Xx

The groan I let out when it came out she had two cats... I knew then that every single childless woman with a pet was going to be held her standard 🙄

RIP to the poor babies and strength to the families and the children who are facing lifelong difficulties. Maybe this nightmare never, ever happen again.

I know that Letby is the one who killed but those managers didn’t care enough about dead babies and their parents.

They were more concerned about being sued for ‘bullying’ by a nurse and the Gobshite radiator flogging dad advising her.

They need to be prosecuted as a message to other NHS managers who also currently don’t give a tit.
Their whole attitude towards patient care seems off, hopefully the CQC will investigate the whole place

Dr. Todd Grande's analysis is interesting. He thinks that while there is no obvious MO, he believes that LL is essentially turned on by the intense emotion of others. After watching this and agreeing with a lot of what he says, I am actually glad that she wasn't there for the witness impact statements today if there is even a modicum of a chance that she would have found the grief in court today in any way thrilling or exciting.

I've thought this for a while. Letby is a product killer. Like Dahmer. But the product Letby gets off on is the grief and drama. Lots of product killers have very different MOs for each death.

As has been pointed out several times already, it's an open forum and you don't have to agree with me.

But, I didn't call anyone a murderer.

I don’t know if JD will be able to get to LL but they will all know who she is from tv & media coverage.
