Can’t go back to find the post asking about the doctor that went for a cigarette.. I’m pretty sure she is the unarmed female doctor that Letby has named as one of the Gang of Four conspiring against her I think it’s possible she is the doc that apologised regarding baby E not having a post mortem and I think maybe she is also the doctor that felt Letby was upbeat after child Ps death and heard her say “he’s not leaving here alive is he”.

I bet this didn't happen because if it had Bitchby, would be all over the texts and FB messenger witching about this doctor to anyone who'd listen. For someone who "likes writing things down", pity nothing she's said since she took the stand has been documented anywhere (including the actual medical notes).

Now I see why prosecution made such a big deal about Dr NN yesterday! Their theory is that she was attacking the babies to get his personal attention and be around him, show him how competent and calm she was. Ugh. What a total whackjob. I really wonder how he must feel now, knowing that all the babies he was trying to save were being attacked by a psychopath because she was in love with him - I'd feel utterly sick and used.

Just when she's around. They like to do little desats into the 80s just to keep us on our toes but any lower and you would be concerned. Sometimes it's due to prematurity and sometimes it can be due to heart problems such as PDA/PFO or even severe reflux.

I think he’s bringing up Dr NN and framing him as her boyfriend (and rightly so) as he’s going to suggest a motive as factitious disorder/Munchausens due to obsession with him wanting his attention. We seen hints of this earlier. The whole ‘you’re a great nurse’, ‘I’d let you care for my children’ tit.

I assume the jury doesn't discuss the trial during breaks and during lunch? I can imagine you can hear a pin drop wherever they are. I can't imagine doing anything but sitting in silent disbelief after this morning.

BM, I imagine is outside chain-smoking for the full hour, possibly with Mark since he just ducks off as and when he likes without saying a word.

I picture our BNE in a room with his team fueling up for the afternoon, going over his facts which I am CERTAIN he already knows inside and out, possibly preparing his one-liners for when he catches her out.

Probably more likely, the doctor went on a break after the failed resuss and needed a smoke - esp if it was one of the gang of four, since this is yet another baby dying on Lucy's watch, and they probably needed 5 mins to get their thoughts straight.

And how does she know they didn't wash their hands? She's just a snidely little murdering weasel. Imagine murdering a baby and then grassing up a colleague for not washing their hands.

If it's a used needle then you have to go to A+E or occy health for blood tests ASAP. It's hospital policy.

Yes absolutely, as you could be infecting the baby or vice versa. Your bloods are taken to verify any findings

Yes, it's policy that if a health professional gets a needle stick injury, they need to be seen to have it dealt with. Usually required to go to the A&E department

Needle stick injuries require medical treatment because of contamination risks. It’d be an occupational health hazard in this case.

Can someone help me with this issue with her saying access was lost and needed an IV? So she set one up when it wasn’t needed? This would then give her access to put air in baby O’s circulation?

I sometimes wonder if she's just blatantly lying, or if in her twisted mind she's convinced herself she's telling the truth.

Pointless speculating I suppose.

I'm firmly of the opinion, and I think @gigilouxx will agree with me, that deep down these narcs do know the truth, but they construct a new truth for themselves and absolutely believe it. So I think she's being 'truthful' when she can't recall/denies everything, but only in respect of her construction of truth, not the objective reality.
