My baby was in hospital at 5 weeks old and a nurse at the time added me on Facebook. She obviously searched me. It popped up on my phone and then went just as quick…error on her part by clicking add friend. I never said anything but wish I had.
Yep if we get any complaints at work about our practice, our managers always say that as long as we can show we have done everything legally and can give a justifiable reason to our actions then they will always back us up as it comes down to professional judgement and personal accountability. What they don't want, is us bleeping up and hiding it or fudging paperwork etc. If you make an error, put your hands up and own it is their ethos. If we go rogue or don't follow process than that's on us, and they won't be able to back us up.tbh even if the hospital did have failings does she also not need to take some accountability? I guess they are going to say she raised concerns but they’d need evidence for that too
CPS said the evidence wasn't strong enough at the time that's it.I'll never understand how it took 3 attempts to charge her
Manchester crown courtJust being nosey but do we know which court this is being done in? I’d of thought the old Bailey?
Evidence I think they had to have enough before they could charge herOne thing I don't understand. If there were all these statistics and comments from employees, why did it take the 3rd arrest to charge her?
It’s Manchester I believe, which is the main biggest city from her registered address or where the crimes took place, old Bailey is for those around London and surrounding areasJust being nosey but do we know which court this is being done in? I’d of thought the old Bailey?
Really? But surely they'd have had the evidence showing she was there and nobody else was? Fair enough.CPS said the evidence wasn't strong enough at the time that's it.
They needed to make sure they had all the evidence worth for CPS to say go ahead and take it to trial. You can only be held for 24 hours once your arrested, unless you've good reason to keep them in custody, then they can apply to keep you for 36-96 hours.I'll never understand how it took 3 attempts to charge her
Doesn't matter the fact is premature babies are very vulnerable to infection and death. They had to try figure out if the deaths were natural before they assumed a baby killer was on the lose. They have no CCTV of the murders , tampering or DNA that's why it's so hard to prove.Really? But surely they'd have had the evidence showing she was there and nobody else was? Fair enough.
Ohhhhh right okay. That makes sense.Doesn't matter the fact is premature babies are very vulnerable to infection and death. They had to try figure out if the deaths were natural before they assumed a baby killer was on the lose. They have no CCTV of the murders , tampering or DNA that's why it's so hard to prove.
We use dedicated TPN lines rather than new lines each time because that would be a massive infection risk I think, and very invasive to the patient? It’s prepped by one person but double checked and countersigned. Childrens nursing is different though, I believe every single drug administered should be countersigned (at least it is here). Agree easy for something to be added to TPN if on single prep.TPN where I work is always a two person job and we would administer at the bedside as it’s an aseptic technique and the checks are stringent where you check random additions to the paper charts, The bags are within bags. Since it’s so stringent on aseptic technique (one line that has never been used before, you can’t administer is on a used line or port) I find it strange the other nurse used the same giving set on a cannula. Best practice in any itu is new access new everything to prevent contamination- more so with TPN. On TPN bags they do have different ports and having some insulin in her pocket to inject into the bag could be something.
That's not enough to arrest and charge someone.Really? But surely they'd have had the evidence showing she was there and nobody else was? Fair enough.
Everyone knows Greater Manchester Police are a tit show and there's a fair few corrupt officers in the ranks, but people fail to remember Rebecca Leighton also had drugs in her possession which she stole from Stepping Hill. Which is why they truly believed she was to blamePost made from someone who looked after becca leighton at styal prison who seems to think she cannot trust the police. I am still not convinced of her being a scape goat. If I remember correctly stepping hill was corrected quite quickly to get the correct person? They have had 7 years to explore other people.
Someone's explained it to meThat's not enough to arrest and charge someone.
