So she has been under suspicion, moved to days, gone back to nights and then had supervision of a student. Okkkk. Some good procedures in that hospital.
Yeah it’s bad - our itu has been so short staffed that nurses who are still supervised are asked to watch over supernumerary staff! It doesn’t bode well at all, I wonder if the student nurse will give evidence.

I understand innocent until proven guilty . But come on it’s not looking great is it . She’s either extremely wierd or she has done these crimes . I can’t believe how many nurses admit on here to doing such things . I can understand searching a family althoigh it’s absolutely something I have never done and I have worked in health care for over ten years . But to search a family after they died and then carry on searching the family years down the line and on Christmas Day . After a baby died she went home searched the family and then searched the previous two children’s family’s that died . Now that isn’t normal at all . standing Over a baby whilst it’s lifeless and baby’s tubes dislodged on a baby that doesn’t move . Didn’t raise an alarm but baby died minutes later … first thing any nurse does when a baby is lifeless or any patient is press the button for all medically trained staff to help . The fact she didn’t is chillin

Again, we haven’t heard the full evidence or the defence’s case. At the moment it’s not looking good but that could easily change over the next 6 months. It’s only been a couple of days. If I was on the jury I wouldn’t be making my mind up about it just yet, that’s a very dangerous way of thinking and everyone deserves a fair trial no matter what your gut is telling you. You have to set your emotions to one side in court and can only go by the evidence presented.

Yeah but the point is, you need a bit more than ‘she was looking up the families after the babies died’ if you want to convict her for multiple murders. Maybe she was just a bit of a weirdo who got overly involved in her job and the patients she treated.

She was papped signing for her bail conditions back in 2018.

Crazy how the press were on her and ready waiting to take photos as far back as 2018. She must have kept a very low profile from being bailed to then being remanded. Anyone local to Hereford/Chester and saw a lot in the local news back then?

I think the point is we're not on the jury though and this isn't one of those crazy Facebook groups where they refuse to think about anything that might contradict what they already believe. I'd like to think even with a gut feeling, people here are more open to evidence changing their minds?

The poll is very interesting and very telling. By rights it should read: Innocent 100%, because innocent until proven guilty right?
However it sits at 2.6%.
The prosecution is laying out their case, they havent proved anything yet. Thats still to come.
Proves bias is a real thing, conscious or unconscious, it's fundamental human nature. I know we were all answering a question put to us, but did we critically think when answering.
I just find it interesting. Sorry!
I know the unsure percentage is very high. I wonder how this poll will change as the trial goes on. I'm NOT criticising , but I thought I'd share my observations that's all folks!!!
Just an observation.
Obviously though, this isn’t a court so the principle of innocent until proven guilty is pretty irrelevant, apart from conceptually. Most people would put don’t know as you’d expect. After all, If someone stopped you on the street and said “I think the post master has got a criminal record what do you think?” You’d say “I don’t know” not “absolutely not until proven otherwise!”

Innocent until proven guilty is a concept used in law, there is no obligation to use it in real life. When we don’t know we don’t know.

I don’t believe the theory about LL being desperate for a baby or having a miscarriage at all. Why would she need anything like that to have happened? That’s the plot of a murder mystery.

You won’t believe it but I had someone tell me on social media that it’s completely normal to do searches for families you work with because of accessibility and curiosity, that’s without safeguarding concerns and use the word professional in the same sentence, there is really no hope for some unfortunately.

I've got a feeling she will get off or it will be a split jury whether she did it nobody will really know. She does strike me as odd , very obsessed with her job but that doesn't make someone guilty.
Yeah, I think it'll be a tough call to make. Glad I'm not on the jury! Is she just overly enthusiastic about her work, a busybody type whose social awkwardness makes her behaviour seem suspect? Is it true there's no 'smoking gun' though? Something more definitive might come up when it gets to the evidence.

I keep repeating myself on this point (sorry) but that fb search on the anniversary of the baby's death doesn't look great. Having enough recall to type their surname on the exact date 1 year later, but then stating you don't know and can't remember searching for them when questioned? That seems off. The description of her behaviour and words to the grieving parents also seems very concerning. But ofc it could have a less sinister explanation.

This is interesting. Was she randomly texting them? Did they have a group WhatsApp? In my job….. so far from nursing, we do discuss clients/ customers, often. Is there some legal term in place nurses can’t do that?

I just imagine if I was a nurse, after a shift, I would want to know how the baby was, especially if it was bad news. Wouldn’t care I was at home “off shift”. Maybe it’s the empath in me, I would absolutely want someone to text me about it
I'm an adults social worker and we have a team whatsapp but we are specifically told we cannot post anything about clients as it isn't secure and would breach our company GDPR. We literally use it to say when we are arriving or leaving a solo visit so we are safe, or if we are having things like internet issues at home, or it just has memes and silly things.

I don’t understand why people are passing such judgement on the people that believe she’s guilty. We’re all entitled to our opinion. I think she’s guilty, thought she was as soon as I saw she had been arrested multiple times. Reading the court transcript on twitter by Judith has only further made me believe she’s guilty. I’d be interested to see what defence she has but I think a lot of the things I’ve read today only have one clear denominator and inexcusable. My heart goes out to the parents, especially if they see people defending LL, that would break my heart further.

I’m aware we’re not on the jury and it’s a good thing too since many seem to have made up their mind already on just day two of a summary. Not even evidence. I just find that odd, obviously people’s opinions will change but I’m talking about the ones who are adamant she’s either guilty or innocent without hearing the rest.

Where is the info regarding the student nurse? Can't find it.

I honestly think it was for show, not the entire search but the extraness of it. Gardens get dug for bodies, I doubt they were looking for bodies of the babies in her garden. Makes her look guilty in the public eye 'they wouldn't be searching for nothing'. Just my opinion of course and I could be wrong but I cant shake off this feeling she hasn't done this.
I thought it could be if she buried like written evidence or electronic evidence say she had written her ideas/plans/murders/reasoning etc in diaries or on a word document on a hard drive or usb stick. She could have buried that sort of thing too.

anyone defending her strange behaviour around searching for families of babies she had either harmed or killed and putting it down to curiosity, is also strange. When asked in her interview if she remembered doing that she stated she didn’t but if the police had evidence to suggest she did she will accept. NOW as a psychiatrist for me that’s worrying a person who did something like that out of curiosity would just explain that they were curious or give a reason. She offered no explaining for it other than the sympathy card she sent which she also recognised isn’t normal, but said she sent it because of how close she got to the family? Odd but again this reasoning can make sense the rest doesn’t to me unfortunately

I hope people aren't concrete in their beliefs yet, I'm taking what people say as what they're swaying to *right now*. At the moment I'm swaying to guilty with 100 'theories' as to how this happened, why it happened, what happens to someone to drive them to do something like this but I'm also open to this being a humongous tragic failing of an entire department/hospital Trust etc etc.

I can't fathom the emotional drain being on the jury will be, having all of those same feelings but not being able to deal with them for a long time and also deciding the outcome at the end of it.

How many times are you gonna claim that you’re a psychiatrist in order to back up your opinions 💀? Yes it’s very odd behaviour but I still don’t think it’s concrete evidence that she is a killer.

I've got a feeling she will get off or it will be a split jury whether she did it nobody will really know. She does strike me as odd , very obsessed with her job but that doesn't make someone guilty. It's not an open or shut case because there's no smoking gun others who have been convicted in the same way have later been acquitted. Her KC is a top barrister very good at securing not guilty verdicts , I doubt he would have taken it on if there wasn't a good chance. All he needs to do is prove reasonable doubt, it's up to the prosecution to prove it.
It’s not an overall verdict though is it? Wont she have a verdict for each individual charge. So they may find her guilty of a few but not all 🤷‍♀️ I keep going back and forth between her being guilty and innocent.

As many times I choose to offer my opinion using my professional knowledge. NEXT
Please find where I have offered the view that she is a killer? If you don’t think she’s a killer that’s wonderful get your self a sticker and stick it on
