Why do people think clues like rhymes with and giving street names nearby etc are acceptable? It's hardly any different than just posting the address and is strictly against the rules.

Imagine if we let all these clues to find an address stay here and something did happen. Then we'd (rightfully) get part of the blame.

Please stop all of this. It discredits tattle and only helps influencers.

No matter how loose influencers are with privacy we can't and won't let doxxing information be posted here. Tattle never has and never will be about that.

Anyone giving any clues or asking for them will be banned. Thanks!

Maybe now Lizzy will finally learn the important lesson of not walking around whilst your bag is hanging open.

I always knew I was in a different league than Lizzy when she used to buy special teabags from m&s, bought an expensive bin and had to dash across town every two weeks to buy the special bin bags for it from John Lewis.
It's the little things. 😂

So, I watched her moving out video bc I wanted to see the house and 😬😬😬 it was just the beginning when she prattled about doing it all on her own, girlllll, I knew it was there but I had to stop it.

Also, somebody in the comments mention how rude it was of the previous owners to leave the wardrobe there. That made me laugh.

For the house itself, it's pretty, but she mentioned she was going to paint it all white and as someone who's an minimalist and lives for green walls, I couldn't imagine something more boring. (Well, maybe some kind of baby yellow/beige tones. 🙃)

Hope she won't get rid of the kitchen, though.

For those of you liking home decoration porn have you seen the French blog “The Socialite family”? It’s a silly name and I think the French person who writes it doesn’t get how naff it sounds but the houses under the families section are pretty swoony. She also does little vignette house visits in French on YouTube called “chouquettes”. Now you are going to see a lot of ligne roset Togo sofas and basket lamps (even they get trendy trendy in a rich French way) but it’s still interesting to peruse if you like this sort of thing.

It is one thing to comment on trash threads but to lurk thrash threads while still trying to climb up the influencers arse? Lol.

I find it slightly amusing that after years of spending a fortune on rent in expensive neighbourhoods to portray a certain image of wealth Lizzy chose to live near bloody Chatsworth road out of choice! Not that there’s anything wrong with the area, just generally less wealthy and desirable, but goes to show the level of spending was unrealistic and unsustainable even for Lizzy. She could have saved herself a fortune if she rented in the area from when she first moved here.

Not that I dislike the house but I would have expected Lizzy to buy a more unusual, design led property than a bog standard terrace. All Victorian terraces in London are slowly having the same identikit kitchen reno, although the doors on Lizzy’s look particularly nice, it’s all just so average.
It sounds like this area is ripe for gentrification. Once the rich, white influencers start moving in, well....

Exactly meowmeowbeans (I do I love this screen name btw), hence making it a great investment for her. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer and income inequity widens. Sad face. We plebs move further and further a field. It happened in SF when I lived there, it happened in NY and it's still going and going and going.

I grew up in Bromley (SE - greater London, metroland, rows and rows of 1930's semis - which I adore even though they are ubiquitous). My dad bought our house for 15K pounds. I recently looked it up and it's worth over a million pounds now in frigging Bromley. I didn't share it with him because it would make him sad I think. Bromley not a cool place to live even though I have a tremendous soft spot for it (especially closer to the rural edges) and hey - the Bromley Contingent (music royalty) and David Bowie lived down the road from my primary school.

Just goes to show you what buying in London (even barely London) can reap. Of course we sold it in the 90's when it wasn't worth anything (story of my life).

When I lived in Bushwick (Brooklyn) I knew it was all going to pot when I started seeing people jogging. LOL. Oh damn, gotta move again.

Nothing against joggers (hey Bathgate, looking at you), yes, and not serious runners, joggers - but we artist types - well not our thing usually.

Buying a house this year is possibly one the wisest decisions Lizzy has made in a long time, with the way tax years run and understandably Covid is going to reduce her earnings. But for someone who once spent over £50k a year in rent to live in Holland Park I just expected somewhere a bit more erm, impressive? Full on reno?

The ever increasing house prices in London are insane. I own my house near Lizzy’s old rental and recently some of those have been listed for sale at around double the price I paid, and I am not old enough to have bought a house in 90’s!
I am also a house-rich, homeowner by inheritance brat but my upbringing was vastly different to Lizzy’s as in we had no money, I grew up with my grandfather and we lived off his pension. The house we lived in had been in the family a long time and surprisingly worth a lot of money. He always told to me sell it when he died and spend all the money on the most expensive house it could buy me which is exactly what I did.
Although I have mixed emotions I’ve always been incredibly grateful and never implied my years working part time whilst studying paid for the house. I think this is what Lizzy doesn’t realise, there is nothing wrong with privilege but she fails to acknowledge it.

Thanks for sharing. Also a very good example is Hackney Wick. I lived there for a couple of years when it wasn’t trendy at all. The area was filled with artists living in warehouses. Once people started to discover the cool bars, cafes and illegal raves, it all went to tit lol. I knew it was over when I saw people pulling up in black cabs in front of my warehouse. Years later everything got torn down with new apartments popping up on every corner. Unfortunately that’s how it works. The Olympics obviously had an impact on that as well, but you get my point.

Well done you and well put. My sister's husband is from a super down to earth philanthropic family who have an abundance of wealth and she lives in a crazy expensive small detached home in Boston. I don't begrudge people having nice things or money but as you say there are people who are grateful and have life experiences which allow them to not be complete and utter prats. For all the "reading" these chicas supposedly do you would think they would get it a little but alas, I think it's life experience which teaches the most. Some of it comes down to luck. Heck if my parents had sold their home and my grandad's home later we would be in a very different financial position, not that my family is struggling at all. But I doubt highly I would ever be a brat as I have also lived through very lean (but much of it happy) times. My sister is absolutely not a brat either so while it's really easy to paint people with broad strokes there are those with privilege who acknowledge and those who have no bloody idea and attribute their success to merit. Which, is, asinine. I'm so with you on this and happy someone like you was able to seize the opportunity and do so well and dilute the wanker concentration - LOL.

Where is the cool place to be now? @1234xxxxx I never liked HW, I find it chaotic.
Curious to know too. Hackney Wick has definitely became more chaotic after I moved out and that was a long time ago. Wouldn’t want to live there now! Shoreditch is also too much for me.

I do absolutely get your point.

This is verbatim what has happened almost everywhere I've lived. It's a shame isn't it?

But then I also see the flip side and understand that I myself am guilty of a sort of reverse snobbery too. I have debates within my own head constantly. There are many artists who are elitist in a different way, like oh, look at the uncultured bastards moving in sort of thing. Look at the bleeping hedge fund joggers. Ha.

It's like being tipsy versus sober or drunk - hard to maintain the tipsy sweet spot. I loved that "tipsy" stage where you know, the neighborhood was no longer a complete wasteland with dog poop everywhere and bodegas filled with Twinkies and Cheetos only and... rats - it hit a little sweet pocket where there was like a tiny cafe and organic co-op and the transport got a little better etc. But things can't stay that way, before you know it, oops, it's gone full tilt into bougie shops that sell bespoke mayonnaise...

I actively follow this thread but I don't think I've ever posted anything, but this whole buying a house has made me dislike her quite a lot. Safe to say I wish I could afford to buy a house in London, but I understand that some people just are lucky to be born into a family money, and that's okay. I would do the same in her situation as it's actually very wise to invest in property, especially in London, rather than wasting tens of thousands of pounds on rent (...although, she already did that too, lol). What bothers me is that she does not acknowledge her privilege at all, and make it seem it was all done by her alone, which is clearly is not the case.

Also, why did she decide to rent in the most desirable and expensive neighbourhoods since moving to London, and then buy a house in a not-so-nice neighbourhood? Not that there's nothing wrong with Homerton, but compared to Columbia Road, Notting Hill and Holland Park, there's a big difference for sure. You'd think it would've made sense to rent in Homerton with less extortionate rent, save money and then actually buy a place in a nicer neighbourhood (Around Victoria Park, London Fields or Stoke Newington area maybe, those are personally my favourite areas in east and I've lived around East in different areas).

Another thing, do these influencers not get worried about safety? Lizzy has always been really sloppy and not exactly trying to hide where she lives, I knew exactly where she lived near Columbia Road after she posted so many pictures where you could see the street outside, as I used to walk around the area all the time. Living in a big house all by yourself in Homerton when clearly it's quite easy to locate the house would personally scare me so much, especially after hearing other bloggers apartments have been broken into.

She did do it the wrong way around but I think when you are young many get tempted by being in the thick of things, in the fashionable areas and it's only later that they realize that they cannot afford to own in these areas maybe? The reality sinks in? But you are absolutely correct and if people were smart they would do it the other way around for sure, especially if they already have a good amount of money that if organized correctly could go this far. Someone should write all these things down and tell their kids not to make this mistake (if they would listen that is).

I would be crazy worried too and would make sure I had a very could security system with cameras. I have been stalked before and its absolutely horrible and there is definitely potential for that to happen. And with them traveling and letting people know, well that makes it even more risky.

I don't know London very well, but is a borough like Homerton very big? Because I'm hearing some generalizations about safety and niceness, and it makes me wonder if that can really be applied to the whole neighborhood. In San Francisco, for instance, the Mission is a hugely popular area to live because it's got bars, restaurants, nice shops, good weather, etc. But you can be walking down a bourgie street full of expensive shops and shiny new condos, and then two blocks over you have your bodegas with Cheetos and rats and people sleeping on the street (of course there is a familiar story about gentrification here as well). Knowing Lizzy, her house is probably in the nicest area of the borough and she'll never venture out of it.

Regarding why she rented in expensive areas and then bought further afield, she chose the fancy neighborhoods because she needed them for her brand. Who would pay attention to a blogger from Manchester who moves to London only to live in a suburb? She had the means to support a glamorous backdrop for her content, and it paid off for her.

Lizzy has always been careless but I suppose moving to Homerton might teach her the value of her possessions and ultimately end up being a good life lesson for her. Although, even when she had her iPhone snatched from her very hand it didn’t seem to phase her! I imagine when you grow up that wealthy stuff is just stuff

PLUS… Lindsey is teasing Mr Tattoo again so I’m guessing an engagement is around the corner 😂
