I think Lindsey and Lizzy both benefited from their friendship in different ways, for sure Lindsey might have got a few more ads and trips because of Lizzy - although I always found it weird how Dior worked with Lindsey before Lizzy? But Lindsey had already done a lot of the hard work in building her online presence before becoming BFF’s with Lizzy.
Lizzy needed someone to cling onto when she moved to London and Lindsey is that person. Lizzy did not like London when she moved here and honestly I don’t think Lizzy would have survived living in London without Lindsey.

From Lizzy’s spending habits and general attitude towards money I wouldn’t be surprised if she had around a million pounds in family money at some point. I could be completely wrong with this but I assume she put down a hefty cash deposit and has a small mortgage on the house. Just from the fact she rented for so long, if she was able to be a cash buyer I don’t think Lizzy would have spent so much money on rent, and I think she needed a few good years of accounts to secure the mortgage. Lizzy was barely earning more than the London minimum wage when she first moved here.

Lizzy is back with her selective memory loss again, Lizzy did not buy her current sofa it was gifted to her as part of an ad when she moved into Holland Park. Lizzy has always implied she bought the sofa, talked negatively about the sofa and never tagged or mentioned the company beyond the sponsored content. I would be furious if I was them.
Also can’t believe that after Lizzy said how disgusting the sofa has become she mentioned selling it, has Lizzy never heard of charity?

The humblebrag is too much. Boasting about not needing to buy any furniture when the monetary value of the fridge, custom made mirrors and sofa alone must be near £10k. Does Lizzy even realise people furnish whole houses on a lot less?

You're totally right! Didn't think of it that way that she would have needed some secure accounts to enable her to get a mortgage whatever size.
I totally agree with you on why not give the sofa to charity but also not very nice moaning about it being grim and then boasting about the expensive furniture she going to buy. Oh man! all of this is why she really needs a good shake and get to know her audience a bit. Although she doesn't give a flying monkeys about her audience in all honesty.

With London being so expensive, I can’t imagine she purchased the house on her own. How difficult is it purchasing a home in London? How much does the bank require as a downpayment?

I'm on the House prices thread and from what the others said buying in London is hard as hell. Someone even posted an article which said that most first buyers in London buy cash thanks to the bank of mom and dad. So Lizzy has to be one of them.

My ex sister-in-law made 100k per year and she couldn’t even buy a house by herself and had to wait to be married to combine her income with her husband.

I never really warmed to Lindsey, maybe its the non-posed pictures she posts (the am cool girl, but also know have to fun look) if you know what I mean, but it must be difficult to see your friend, who really doesn't need to work hard, get so much out of life.
I used to enjoy Lizzy's content, especially the testing basics series, thought that was a really clever idea, not often seen in fashion blogging. However, ever since she left Manchester and came to London, her content and image have stagnated. Learning more about her families money has also turned me off her. She is obviously very lucky, and its just a little depressing to find out she has bought such an expensive house in London.
It has to be said though, does anyone else get the feeling that her life is incredibly depressing, I mean what do they do all day? I would get bored quickly thats for sure!

Agree about the testing basics series strategy, her price points were always a bit high, but the concept was good. Not many actually wear the clothes for a while then give a proper detailed review, most try on for a quick pic on stories, a swipe up, and then return.

I'm surprised she's kept it for as long as she has, because we know she's all about that aesthetic pretentious furniture. I am all for people spending money on interiors if they can afford it but I find all the talk about her bespoke sofa OTT. In one breath she went on and on about living in the space before buying things and then in the other goes on and on about this custom made sofa that will no doubt cost thousands and thousands of pounds. Maybe live in the place first and decide what your needs are before commiting to something like that?

My bad, I thought they gifted it to her. I remember the sofa company reached out to Lizzy because she mentioned needing a sofa for the Holland Park flat in a vlog and I’ve always thought throughout the years Lizzy has made other subtle hints hoping for a replacement.
Having an expensive sofa and such a young cat is probably not the best idea either.

Generally I think there’s a good reason why ‘Lizzy Hadfield rich’ comes up when Googling Lizzy. There’s nothing wrong with coming from a privileged background but Lizzy seems desperate to hide it and it comes across as a bit deceitful.

I feel like Lizzy saying ‘I did this all on my own!’ And Lindsay following suit with ‘she did this all on her own! So proud!’ Is all just thinly veiled code for WITHOUT A MAN.
