ETA ok just googled getting a mortgage on a property next to a commercial property and yes, while you can get one, it's not as straightforward as getting a mortgage on a property in a residential area, and there are less mortgage providers who will deal with these cases. Still don't believe she ever put an offer in and that she would get any sort of mortgage, but I stand corrected on my assumption that this was just more jug ears drivel.

That’s her usual.. let them fall at speed out of cars or die ingesting a dishwasher tab. That’s the level of empathy. She’s not a mother so doesn’t care..
For me that sentence about child safety locks is extremely disquieting. I don’t think can do stirring? That would require a sense of humanity.

It's the same as when she said she had yelled at David not to fall down the stairs into her cellar because "I refuse to be your carer!" If she were actually worried about him she could keep the door locked or put up a baby gate or something but of course she thinks only of herself

And why would he be falling down the stairs anyway? Okay he has a few health issues, as many of us do, but we are not likely to just randomly fall down stairs. The best solution would be to say, "hey look, those stairs are a bit uneven, very steep, dark, etc, so if we need anything from the cellar, just let me know and I'll get it..and anyone who did have any issues with the above health issues, would be more than grateful to say "aww thank you" because that is how friends behave..not our jug ears, nope, she moans about everything and there will never be any way to make her happy.
