Some interesting points here about careers in media in Ireland & uk. I think it’s annoying how the same few faces dominate RTE, there’s no room for young presenters. 2fm is supposed to be a youth radio station, it’s hosted by coffin dodgers. I’m no Laura fan, but I can see why she went abroad for work.

A lot of the 2FM presenters are in their 20s and 30s. Doireann Garrihy for example is 29.

Some live-streaming of video gaming crap. Even if he’s earning a few thousand he’s still getting paid to play. I wouldn’t knock it (have only ever played on a Nintendo 64 though). I guess it looks pretty pathetic compared to Laura’s pay.
