In my experience, here, they enforce the rules if it is to their benefit and break rules if it’s to their benefit.

We are in a situation right now where our property manager is asking for an email to be sent for him to fix the air conditioning.

Three days ago we called him and he told us to call his contractor. His contractor then told us to call the property manager. The property manager then asked us to send him an email, which we then did. Three days later. He tells us he hasn’t read emails for three days. Then he tells us to send another one with different wording. THEN he tells us not to call him in the afternoon, we have no right to interfere with his afternoons. He also tells us we have to call him to remind him in the morning to read the email. He blamed us for calling him yesterday in the afternoon.

His answering machine says he is closed in the afternoons for Covid, no longer an issue for businesses.

Now we have to write another email, when all he had to do was to take a call and order the service.

It gets to be too much at times.

Vaccine they received was sinovac Friends of theirs in Ontario had same vaccine and went to clinic to get cDNA approved one and were turned away They were told sinovac and sinopharm will be getting approval in coming weeks so my friends are not going for shot tomorrow as they said back to the waiting game

I think the thing I always found about italy (and this is good and bad) was the kind of "arrangiarsi" (probably spelt wrong) attiude. Here in the UK we generally stick to rules (which, again, has its good, but also bad) but it does mean that (in my experience) people are unwilling to bend rules even when it would be better. To give a random example, at lots of busy train stations here they have one stairs (manual stairs, not escalators to be clear) to go up and one down, which for rush hour makes sense, but when there are few people around taking a staircase that is on the other side of your train platform and you are running ot catch it makes no sense but most people seem to blindly follow regardless. And in a (admittedly selfish) situation - when I lived in Rome I was running to meet a friend to catch a bus to go to a concert and she asked the bus driver if he could possibly wait just 1 more minute for me (had he not I would have missed the bus and then the concert) and he did. That would never happen in the UK (or in London anyway)
Was responding to emm’s post

Very very very hard to speak about the first Connor was not the first one that we lost over time but he blindsided me. He was in last year and already had started a successful business that would help with university fees. He had just passed in paper on his goal. In the paper he wrote about basically places he thought he could travel cheaply. He had done his research online and was high with hopes. He went away for a week to enjoy another spot that he had heard about. What he had high hopes for did not work out. A positive smiling smart person something happened on that trip that disillusioned him. His friends told me that he was embarrassed that he had been “taken in” “should have been smarter about what expected” I guess a naive trusting soul with so much goodness. He came back and ………………… don’t get me wrong he did not experience abuse but what was damaged and crushed was his confidence His pride So sorry have never spoke about this. I still see him all 6ft a smile easygoing person — why why why My brother lied told stories like where he was working he created a world and carefully told people what they wanted to hear. I will not go into more just tell you that I gave him a home and he abused the trust and we had two little boys at the time. Sure I was angry at myself embarrassed felt shamed that he used us so badly. When the truth came out my husband told him to leave and never come back That is now over thirty years ago have not seen or heard from him. I have 2 sisters and 4 brothers I am not the only one he conned Funny how it has just occurred to me that I was thinking all along in this forum that it was due to brother but now I realize it is not. And yes Italy was going to be part of connors journey
I understand then, I thought it had something to do with KyLIE.

@Jerry What about a new project manager?? Life's too short to have to deal with people like this. Wait till the end of July & he will disappear off the planet. August is sacred.

So far, in the condo online chat, there is little response, more akin to apathy. I sometimes wonder if Italians are so beaten up by daily life, they just don’t care.

We had to hire a lawyer for another issue related to this guy, whom WE pay for service.

There is another whole dynamic here, as well, where men seem to resent being asked or told what needs to be done by women. It is very bizzare.

One or two others recently had a fiery public email exchange with him, so there’s hope. A meeting tomorrow, so we’ll see from that.

August, EVERYONE stops work, more than usual (!) so we hope to have air conditioning by then !

the specificness of "7 hours" of editing is just her screaming - look at all the work I do, send me patreon money :ROFLMAO:
Also, she often announces that a video will be uploaded on a specific date and time (like this one was supposed to be uploaded at 12pm Italian time), but almost every time she uploads it much later. Why give a specific time then? Just say on Friday…

Today, our property manager advised us that he did not receive our email of yesterday; at the same time told us that our email included two items, not one, so we would have to write again with just one item. So he DID receive our email.

In any case, I sent again 10 copies of our email, so he could find it and also 10 copies of a revised email with just the one required item.

This is the quality of the service we receive.

I am in contact with other owners to fire him.

Re THE video. I have an idea she or others have been reading here & she's decided to re-edit because now there's no mention of#vintage or #retro so I'm sure there's been a turnaround in content. Why so exactly 7 hours? So it brings it up to tomorrow. What a w....r.

@Jerry. Just try to get a GM of condomini & oust that arrogant b...He obviously feels very sure of himself but no one is indispensabile. Look up the rules & see what percentage of votes are needed to get rid of him. Does he live there or is he an accountant who specializes in condomini? If your Italian is up to it , there is a series of films with Paolo Villaggio which tell the tales of office life/ condomini/ where he is the downtrodden victim - just the thought of them makes me laugh. Come to think of it you don't need to know much Italian. Will send a link when I can.

Hello...back after another boring pause. The video is ...yes indeed well shot. But it is just another "in your face" lifestyles of the rich and D-list famous. If I were a tourism board, I might hire Kylie (if anyone in Italy has seen the awful and corny Puglia ads). But this was nothing entertaining. Kylie has money and connections! That''s what we learned. The whole thing seemed like an ad, esp the end.

Had a birthday dinner, tonight, for my new 20 year old Italian daughter, who also just graduated from medical high school.

Time to celebrate out !

Agreed @Denise0211 I would say they were comped a night or two and Guido’ s purse bares the brunt of the rest of the holiday.…4 days is not a very long honeymoon, the pressure never lets up, even on honeymoon the KyLIE way; applying some sort of constant urge. A large percentage of the film is copied/sampled from the greats, in an open admission from LA VESSEL herself I see an advertorial ( most saturated of the cliches on display) drone shots peppered with a couple of underwater soft porn shots ….Boooooooringggggg……
The landscape footage looks lovely because it is, not because Kylie is a good photographer. Portofino is one of those places you could take a great image standing on your head blindfolded.
How is having a film camera in your face on your 4 day honeymoon sit with you GUIDO.?
I suppose KF has done so much travel in paradise this is yet another jaunt to the beach…if she really is a narcissist the pleasure rush for her comes from the adulation not the trip .
PS How about the way G drives into town to leave her to make films …but then she makes six different cuts of him driving in the MG ….whacky stuff from la spiaggia ….sponsorizzato by MG .

I honestly found it a bit boring. I’m sorry to say but there was not much for the viewer except the shots of the village, which of course are beautiful. However creatively speaking there wasn’t much there, she even says that the filming is a copy style of movies from the 50’s. Yet if I just play a movie from that era I’d get much more out of it because there will be dialogue, a plot, something more than just still shots. And I’ve been finding this to be a theme lately, her content is just wrapping itself a lot more around her personal life and the whole problem is that her personal life isn’t enough to keep the interest alive for weeks upon end. She started out as more of an explorer, showing different cities, countries and people even if with a lot of lip pouting and hip shaking, there was something else too. I get that her life is just different now but these latest videos come off the same, empty somehow. I don’t know l, that’s how I feel at least. They are still shot beautifully but a filmmaker is more than someone who knows where to place a camera and what colour matching to apply.
