In my experience, here, they enforce the rules if it is to their benefit and break rules if it’s to their benefit.
We are in a situation right now where our property manager is asking for an email to be sent for him to fix the air conditioning.
Three days ago we called him and he told us to call his contractor. His contractor then told us to call the property manager. The property manager then asked us to send him an email, which we then did. Three days later. He tells us he hasn’t read emails for three days. Then he tells us to send another one with different wording. THEN he tells us not to call him in the afternoon, we have no right to interfere with his afternoons. He also tells us we have to call him to remind him in the morning to read the email. He blamed us for calling him yesterday in the afternoon.
His answering machine says he is closed in the afternoons for Covid, no longer an issue for businesses.
Now we have to write another email, when all he had to do was to take a call and order the service.
It gets to be too much at times.
