Thank you, Jerry. That does sound sinister and disrespectful. I would delete that if I were her. After I was widowed I tried online dating which I found extremely unpleasant. I met someone at The Wallace Collection and, as it was raining, I invited him back to the lobby of my hotel off Marylebone High Street for tea and, after 45 minutes, he said 'Shall we go upstairs'. I cannot begin to say how very, very, angry and insulted I was. He was a most unattractive fellow anyway. But K is attractive and she is happy to publish photographs and videos of her body so she must receive more than her fair share of attention from these creepy types.
Such an unpleasant experience, unfortunately there are a lot of ‘dusties’, as I’ve heard them being called, out there. As for Kylie, after watching her Love parallel videos I have a hard time sympathising with her. It was almost a soft porn in certain moments. Before watching those I remember thinking that I could never have her job because I really don’t like being in front of the camera. However that is just a fact, some reality, it is neither good or bad, just is. It doesn’t mean that because I don’t like it she can’t do it, or that she is somehow worse or superficial or anything else like that. People are different basically.
Needless to say though, the Love parallel episodes got me thinking that if she gets nasty comments about her body, as awful as it is, it certainly has been provoked. I don’t wish it upon anyone, these people exist unfortunately.
This was one of the first times I thought there was something wrong. Outside of the whole story being cringey I thought that she must really like herself a lot in order to act out these ‘almost make out’ scenes with the guy. That was the first time I thought ‘Wow, she really likes attention, both from men and from the viewer, all eyes must be on her’.

Speaking of members, we seem to have lost a few! Appleblossom, VeeJayBee. Is everyone on holiday or simply bored to death of K's content? Lol
Eccomi! It's sweet that you noticed my absence @Denise0211

Yes, I am a bit bored of K although it's more as if nothing she does surprises me. I've realised that she is now concerned with knocking out visual fluff for which I am not the intended audience.

However I do think it's important, as @Flybynight has said, to documentdocumentdocument and I really should make more of a contribution to that.

...
Also know this: In online forums, only a tiny percentage of people tend to actively participate and post. The vast majority - like 95-98% or so - only read and lurk. That's fine. Know that your reach with your documentation and sharing of real life knowledge about Kylie is making a difference.
The views of this thread are at 20K, I don't know if they are unique users but still, it's not inconsiderable.

I might have been AWOL but that didn't stop me thinking about here while on a visit to the V&A...

The problem with K is that she can come across as very plausible, whereas, in reality, she's an operator.
My problem with her is that she well knows how harsh, difficult and often absurd it is living in Italy. Surviving, nevermind thriving.

During her video describing her failed clothing line, she clearily shows she knows. It was near impossible for her to function and she quit.

Recall another video where she describes herself living in a windowless apartment with electricity about to be shut off at any time.

Yet she peddles this fantasy about moving to Italy, realizing your dreams of romance, finding your place in the sun.

Is Italy a beautiful country; Yes it is. Are there many reasons to want to be here; Yes there are. But she knows the truth of what it takes and, yet, diminishes it in favour of selling a dream, knowing that’s what her viewers want to hear.

Everyone has fantasies about Italy, just mention the word to nonItalians and they swoon. But instead of giving good information about what it actually takes, she misrepresents reality to sell what sells.

Why would she do that; to benefit herself without regard to the harm it does to others, to gain Utube revenue, to gain Patreon support, to rent an event space that is closed during Covid and otherwise remote, to reno and rent chicken coops and pigsties for potential renters, to promote a dream that she, herself could not realize without exploiting gullible viewers who pay her for the privilege of emulating what, for them, would be a nightmare if they followed her advice.

That is why she is so threatened by more astute viewers in her comment section and in this forum. It would disintegrate and vaporize the fantasy that only she benefits from.

She has figured out a way to gain revenue by promoting a lie. She is no innocent. And that is why it is worth tracking what she does.

I honestly found it a bit boring. I’m sorry to say but there was not much for the viewer except the shots of the village, which of course are beautiful. However creatively speaking there wasn’t much there, she even says that the filming is a copy style of movies from the 50’s. Yet if I just play a movie from that era I’d get much more out of it because there will be dialogue, a plot, something more than just still shots. And I’ve been finding this to be a theme lately, her content is just wrapping itself a lot more around her personal life and the whole problem is that her personal life isn’t enough to keep the interest alive for weeks upon end. She started out as more of an explorer, showing different cities, countries and people even if with a lot of lip pouting and hip shaking, there was something else too. I get that her life is just different now but these latest videos come off the same, empty somehow. I don’t know l, that’s how I feel at least. They are still shot beautifully but a filmmaker is more than someone who knows where to place a camera and what colour matching to apply.
Yes, thank you! That is exactly how I was feeling…bored! Which is a shame, because the landscape is beautiful, but as you said creatively there is nothing to gain from it. It is just a cheap copy of some great old movies. I really enjoyed her Christmas videos, because she at least was showing something different (like how to make vintage ornaments). Also, the videos are shorter than they used to be. Maybe that’s what happens when you are in a good place personally, you start losing your creativity.

Jerry, did you take Bambi to the beach, or is he too young? :)
He does get around, but today is my day to scout and explore solo;

My partner has a reborn doll, so we go along like a caravan !

She made the mistake of bringing him onto the bed to comfort his crying at night, so guess what; all the covers are in the laundry.

People on the street stop in their tracks when they see him, can’t believe his size. He is very playful in the house, chases a ball and brings it back already. Collects what he finds on the floor; plant leaves, napkins, my bills, a roll of electrical tape. Time to do a major clean for him. Has a big personality in a pint size frame.

Musee D’Orsay is my favourite in Paris.

Here is the hang (installation) of the Australian native Fresco at long last …please excuse the light it was a beautiful day and the sun was low in the sky when we had finished ….the new owner is thrilled !
Originally there job was to make a mural on the wall seen below 👇 however for fresco you need masonry not cement

Sadly we will have to send the rescue cat back to the shelter ..he was too much for my mother …he gave me a couple of nasty scratches and bit my poor old mum on her hand , it is all swelled ; she had to go to the Dr and have a te tenia injection …I realise I’m over sharing but ..I’m mortified (for mum and the cat ) because it happened the day after I left for the city and she didn’t tell me😕.
He was 90% a good cat but he was pretty intense … rubbing up all the time …I feel guilty …sucks completely

Wish this girl would just go away; not married, as promised, no wedding, as promised, no renos, as promised, no Bottega Flavell, as promised (though her website still seems to ask for orders), no Italian town series, as promised, no Q&A2, as promised.

I would recommend Stanley Tucci’s series over this for food. At least he has a producer who gives him ideas and talking points.

I’ll bet her 800 Patreons are pleased. However, if she’s going after the same demographic as Trump, and it appears she is, they will believe and support anything.

Wow, another video on pizza and midriff shots.
For anyone without CNN (i.e. me lol) I found the episodes free online at sflix.to, i haven't watched yet so not sure about the quality though

Yes, that and a lame attempt to seem "relatable." We've all seen her figure, turning into a "seal" in a few weeks isn't happening.
Yes, and I thought the modestly-priced chicken dinner was equally an attempt to seem relatable following Splendido Portofino.

off topic question, but as she probably is reading here, what content would we want her to post? As I can't travel, I would like travel content, I don't want to see that house/kayak, even just filming food in italian restaurants so I can live vicariously. anyone else?
I would like to see beautiful italian buildings etc but ,really, what could she add to it, if she films anything it just ends up as her in focus adding boring commentary. Her parents must be travelling around surely, why has she not made the most of this?
I second everything here. Stop focusing on herself and put the focus on the actual subject. Travel, culture and food interest me most. Each region is so different from each other at points they seem seperate countries. It would be interesting if she presented this, also for her loyal fans who might think every Italian eats pizza and spaghetti daily.

Dead horse🐴 I keep beating, but it seems to me the 12 ep Tuscany series was never finished. Seemed to barely begin, aside from those few IG posts in Pitigliano. I have no idea why she promised a "summer series" if she hadn't filmed most of it. The last few filler eps were so boring despite her sycophants gushing otherwise.

@Denise0211. That does not remotely interest me.
I’m watching out of boredom. Her demeaned is so odd, she spends most of the time talking to camera looking at the floor, she doesn’t seem happy and I am finding the dynamic between them increasingly strained, at one point she asks him when they got the kyack, he says last year (or something, I was hardly paying attention) and she asks no what mese? as if anyone (him included cares). It is so funny hearing the conversation between her and her dad, he has a very strong australian accent, obviously totally different from hers.
She is still claiming that garden party they had was her church wedding

the dialogue (and this is what it is as it is all just a staged script) between them both is weirdly cold imo, did anyone else find that? I agree I found it boring, how the hell this took her 7 hours to make at all, yet alone "another" 7 hours is beyond me.
Hilarious how she is now citing her patreons in the opening of the video. I'm not 100% sure this is still the case, but I think you tube videos are not monetised unless they are 10 plus minutes, so now she is missing out on this she must be even more desperate for money I guess

The men she has featured in videos must be very tall, then, if she is tall. I say men because she's mostly shown with men. I haven't noticed her looking very tall. But maybe she is. There is an art to knowing how to dress your body and figure out what looks good. Disproportionately big feet on a woman are a challenge, can easily look clunky.
We’ve discussed this previously @FlyByeNight and as I know KyLie in real life, I can say she is not vertiginously tall like a runway model, but she is above average height and she is built on robust lines. She is sporty and looks fit IRL but not thin. She is always super-tanned, even in winter, like a wannabe jetsetter of the 1950s; perhaps it’s all part of her Mid-Century movie fantasy🙄

@Rena Solomon love your architectural analogy of the Classical orders and I would say that physically K fits the rustic Tuscan order - solid with unfluted columns and a simpler entablature - and not as sophisticated and fine as the Ionic or the Corinthian☺

the reading of that book
The reading of that book just seemed to go on forever zzzzzzzzz

read some reviews, they are gushing as usual
Those gushing reviews are entirely bonkers. Forgive the vulgar analogy, but it seems as though K only has to pick her nose, and her followers think she's terrific. They are like sheep, uninformed, undiscerning, blindly praising her. I find it alarming that she laps it up and believes herself to be some kind of art expert when it is as clear as day that she isn't. Really, if she stepped beyond her own YouTube channel, she would not be deemed credible. Sadly, she only wants positive feedback. K. cannot take on board informed, constructive criticism, which would enable her to up her game.
