When I was young I stayed in Paris with some fantastically rich friends of my parents and picked up the word dégueulasse from their teenage son mainly because, whatever it meant, it horrified all the adults, which was fun. I reckon it's the equivalent of bleeping tit and probably wouldn't turn a hair now.

I think its not so bad - it means really bad or skank's favourite "disgusting".
They don't really have a lot of terrible words which is why they like to appropriate the english ones, actually there a record label and rave outfit called the bleeping Teuf. The Brits all smile and snigger when they hear it mentioned but nobody else bats an eyelid.

No here the ultimate slagging off to be given is to tell someone their mother was a bleep or your dad shags goats. You'll get loads of "Oooh la la's" after that one but not from me as my lingo is rubbish My French DiL loves an English swear word though - she knows plenty now LOL
