I think the nanny was sacked for allegedly going to Portugal and not telling them, instead of returning to work.
If my memory serves me right, I think this was the same nanny who later alleged that PA and KP were bad parents who stuffed Harvey full of chicken nuggets, they sued and won.
I suspect it's probably like the police. You have a decent proportion of people who want to help the public and then you have a small percentage of people who really shouldn't be in a position like that at all, being deviants and criminals themselves.

Harvey could (more than likely would) have thrived with the proper support in place. Finding him say "you c@nt" side splittingly funny and encouraging him to keep saying it, just shows the level of twit she actually is. Twenty years on and there are still people thinking she's been a brilliant mum, especially to Harvey.
