On her IG she says she’s not been involved with ‘grandads’ funeral. I wonder if that’s because his actual family are organising it instead of the weird family that he knew from bowls.

Yeah. They're called John and Pauline. Kate failed GCSE Maths like six times so John offered to tutor her. She got quite close to them and called them her "church grandparents". At some point things turned sour and in either a live or a Q&A video she accused them of trying to turn her against her parents. I read on Twitter that Val and Mick used to make Kate walk to church despite her disability and John (I think it was him, hopefully I haven't confused this story with someone else) gave her a walking stick to make it easier for her and that was one of the things they didn't like. So her parents probably made her dislike them, and she stopped speaking to them. Can't remember any more details beyond that sadly.

Going to a friend's 90th birthday party does make me feel a bit sad for her. Socialising with pensioners is better than not socialising at all, but it doesn't compare to having friends your own age.

But how is she going to fix Tony and Dot's computer when she can't even make a poster in Microsoft Word may I ask?

I would feel sorry for her, but she actively chooses to hang out with these people and seems to genuinely enjoy it. If she wanted to make friends her own age then I’ve no doubt that she could.
However, I often get the vibe that she kinda looks down on people her own age. I think she thinks she’s super mature and they’re too young and stupid to be worth being friends with. I dunno haha maybe I’m wrong, I know she says about bullying in school, and I totally understand that could also be a reason why she stays away from other young people.

This is cracking me up. The venom in Val’s snarl to Kate is so funny. The fact she’s sad it makes me think Kate has gobbed on many cakes before but I’m not surprised. I’ve noticed she has clumps of spit bubbles stuck to her mouth when she goes on video rants.

I remember her filming a clip of her first day at the job and she was putting some stamps on some envelopes or something.
One reason she was sacked was she wasn’t recording the money in the float tin properly and also didn’t disclose she had a holiday booked a week after starting the job. There were some other things mentioned too I can’t remember but basically she was incompetent at it. Shame really.

It was in August last year. It was a very long email from a reader in which the word “it will take that contagious” was placed in sentence as if it meant “it will take that cunt ages”.

- Imagine some old pensioner whose laid out in hospital tuning into their radio station for a bit of light relief, only to hear Kate King shout “cunt” on the airwaves.

The fact she refers to grandad & bob as ‘the boys’ and her & Judith are “their girls”.. makes me cringe!

I do wonder what some of the members down the bowls club think of her. Most of them are probably OAPs I imagine, so I wonder if they still view Kate as a child due to the considerable age difference and her emotional immaturity?

This thread’s gained lots of momentum in the past week as we’ve all been shrieking in horror at Ar Kate’s latest antics so I’m sure they’ll be enough material to last us another thread. Think about it, in the last week the saga has seen celebrity cameos from Rylan and Amy Hart, Kate signing up for the TikTok creator fund, only to dramatically quit 24 hours later after banking a whopping £18, we’ve seen multiple lives ruined due to Kate declining listeners’ song requests and we’ve got a funeral upcoming! This is the juiciest thread around.

I can’t wait for the press release after some Kate King obsessive goes undercover as another one of Grandad’s stray grandchildren to gain entry to his funeral . It’ll be like Mugginsgate all over again.

I’ve been binge reading this thread today and have nearly died laughing In the space of one thread we had:

- Kate announce she was a lesbian in case it enhanced her prospects of becoming a mother.
- Kate getting sacked from the bowls club and then landing up in a PR scandal.
- Kate faking Grandad’s death and then him actually dying.
- The state funeral in which it was falsely claimed she was denied entry to.
- Kate becoming a social media influencer for 24 hours before dramatically announcing that she’s quit
- Her endless lies.
- Kate losing her job at SMHR and then taking the whole ship down with her.
- Her co-presenter getting suspended.
- Her TikTok account getting hacked the day after the suspension of the radio show and then her becoming inactive on Instagram.

When reading through, I noticed striking similarities between the debacle at SMHR and what’s going on with Holly and Phil at the minute. Kate claimed her co-presenter was suspended after making racist remarks but it later transpired that he apparently hadn’t been suspended. Many of us thought this was Kate’s attempt at swooping in and trying to have the presenting gig all to herself, like Holly has cut Phil off recently. Then the entire request show got suspended and she hasn’t been back on the airwaves since, similarly to how people now think This Morning will get axed. Is ar Kate’s future career in clairvoyance? Would be a handy way for her to keep in contact with the blue rinse brigade at Foxhill when they pass on.

Does anyone know if she’s going back to SMHR or not? What’s happening with that new under-30s bowling gig down in Waddesdon? Why has she not come back to Instagram. I can’t believe how long we’ve been deprived of her content
