Reliving the whole Mugginsgate saga makes me realise how wild it was for some Kate King fan to ring up her bowls club posing as a journalist to get Muggins to dish the dirt on her . Like WHAT ?!

Has she been telling everyone at the bowls club that she’s some big celebrity because didn’t Muggins stop and think how bizarre it was someone wanted to run a story on whether or not Kate’s trial period as deputy manager of the bowls club had been extended or not?!

I assume Kate knows about the leaked phone call. Has she ever said what her opinions on it are?

Not sure how she presented it to the bowls club but they knew about her social media activity and banned her from talking about her job online. Maybe to small town pensioners having like 5k YouTube subscribers and 10k followers on TikTok seems famous.

She knows about the phone call and asked her parents. They denied they said it but I really don't see how Muggins would even think to make this sort of stuff up on the spot, or what benefit he would get from lying about it when her incompetence in the role was enough to justify firing her alone.

Yeah. They're called John and Pauline. Kate failed GCSE Maths like six times so John offered to tutor her. She got quite close to them and called them her "church grandparents". At some point things turned sour and in either a live or a Q&A video she accused them of trying to turn her against her parents. I read on Twitter that Val and Mick used to make Kate walk to church despite her disability and John (I think it was him, hopefully I haven't confused this story with someone else) gave her a walking stick to make it easier for her and that was one of the things they didn't like. So her parents probably made her dislike them, and she stopped speaking to them. Can't remember any more details beyond that sadly.
