I'm sure he is ill, but he has a huge reach and he should still be held accountable. He can't pick and choose when he wants to take that accountability. He has enough handlers around him that devices can easily be removed, I'm afraid that's what happens if someone lacks capacity (even temporarily) their liberty is restricted. There is no excuse for this and its an ongoing issue, usually when he has something to promote.
You know why nobody is stepping in to prevent him doing these things? Because they can't, because he doesn't lack capacity. He's an unpleasant man with unpleasant views and an unpleasant attitude. And he thinks he's God.

If Kanye West is making the decision to not take medication for his bipolar disorder - as it affects his “creativity”, he is making that decision whilst he has full capacity. Knowing full well, that his behaviour whilst unmedicated will then cause harm to others.

Bipolar disorder is not an uncommon condition. Whilst psychosis can be part of the condition - it can’t be used as a blanket excuse for this man’s behaviour.
Whilst people can become very unwell with BP (usually when it is not clinically managed), there are countless people with the condition who are holding responsible jobs, caring for their families and taking responsibility for their actions.

I am not doubting that he has had periods of being very unwell, but I am questioning his responsibility in managing his condition and also suspect much of his behaviour is based on his own beliefs and character.

If his offensive behaviour is all down to his mental condition - and to allow him to “perform” at Wireless, would we have to sit and wait to discover if he has decided to take his medication or not? What if he decides that it is affecting his “creativity” and treats us to a series of anti semitic and racist rants?
He is not reliable and has plenty of previous.

I am tired of him. The recent reports of him with his trousers down on a boat in Italy, with his coerced wife performing fellatio on him. He covered her heard with a coat though - which is modest for him.
His relationship with his wife is disturbing and how he acts this out in public.

I wish people would stop making excuses for him, and consider the feelings of the communities he offends.

If she didn't look dead behind the eyes/drugged up, it would be something. I'd still find it depraved but she always looks like she's being abused. Maybe that's the idea in a trolling sort of way, who knows, but it makes it even worse.

hmmm im not so sure. So the cousin was 6 and say he was the same age- how on earth would he think of doing/ trying such a thing and continue to do it and not say it to anyone else or for it to be discovered. Like the whole thing is mindblowing. There is something very very wrong with that man.

Lots of kids experiment with sex and kids exposed to porn are much more likely to reenact sexually. Its also possible that there wasn't a big age gap so he's not necessarily a perp and its especially complicated with young kids acting stuff out without understanding the implications. What's really troubling is him sharing this on a public platform rather than seeking help.

I am relieved that he won’t be performing - I feel that the correct decision was made (for once).

We are experiencing serious attacks against Jewish communities. Allowing him to perform, would have sent out an appalling message.

His behaviour is so off the charts there's no way I'd let my kids be around him. It's sad to see someone who was once such a talent become so mentally unstable. No one around him seems to be able to get him into the treatment which he clearly desperately needs.

Do you get how bipolar works? People have delusions of things that are not true. Believing in a conspiracy of Jews, aliens or lizards etc, etc ruling the world is a surprisingly common one because feelings of persecution are vert common. As is the sufferer believing they are a reincarnation of Jesus, Hitler, Elvis. Sufferers also often feel a violent need to tell other people or warn them about their supposed revelation. I know someone who had it and if he’d had Kanye’s platform he would have gone on TV to announce he was the second coming and printed up t-shirts saying ‘Dave is God’. (Kanye sold no shirts BTW, the platform pulled it and didn’t process the orders.

It’s no more something they do of their free will than the man who shouted out at the Baftas. Their illness makes them sincerely believe it’s true and that they have evidence of it. When they’re stabilised and well again they know it’s not true and feel overwhelming shame and remorse.

Like people who called they BAFTA’s guy racist, it’s a lack of understanding of the condition.

Also, I know how bi polar works - and how it affects individuals differs vastly.
It is not comparable to Tourette’s. I also believe that sitting a Tourette’s sufferer next to a microphone at a global event is appalling. The organisers knew something like that was likely to happen - they seemed to be glad of the publicity that it generated.

Kayne Wests diagnosis of bi polar does not give him a freedom card, to offend others. If his appearance at festivals is likely to cause distress to local communities (who are already dealing with attacks), he should not be given a platform.
He may not have reported any episodes of psychosis recently, but his general behaviour is suspect (at best).

We should not turn a blind eye to the behaviours of those suffering with a mental health condition, when it affects others.
There have been high profile incidents where nothing has been done - with fatal outcomes.
It does not mean that a nation is not sympathetic to those suffering with mental health conditions. Why would it mean that?

Im in the minority here I guess. I actually feel like this was a wonderful and thought-provoking exercise. The west claims to be liberated, that a woman is in control of her body and that what a woman wears bears NO impact on how she should be judged or treated by men. And yet look at this… a beautiful woman (with a figure that is just art itself) is being criticised by men and women alike. People calling for her to be locked up and arrested. Guess the west isn’t as “free” as it tells other cultures it is.
Also I think they both collaborate on her clothing. No doubt he’s involved because he always has been and maybe he’s a dick but I think she’s very much got a say and enjoys the statements she is able to make.

So you’re ok with someone exposing themselves in front of kids. Ok got ya!
