You’d think he’d put them into activities with other kids. Kids need friends and to be able to socialise. Play is part of their development, not going on runs with their OCD dad. Very strange behaviour from holier than thou Joe. 🙄🙄
that would actually require him and Rosie to leave their house to take them to activities 🙄

He claims he’s such a good parent and his kids are great with food but he’s continually hiding veg in meals

I think frozen peas are actually supposed to be cooked before you eat them. Not fed to your 1 year old raw 😬

Nothing wrong with a raw pea, frozen or otherwise. Not that I want to defend Joe! But they are the best homegrown fresh from the pod.
With that huge garden Joe could have a little veg patch for the kids to grow veg, understand where food comes from. Too much work though, he wants everything in 15 minutes.
The spag bol he was cooking looked grim. BBQ sauce for flavour?! What's wrong with using some herbs and tom puree instead? Also, sugar snap peas chopped up minutely into a spag bol 🤮 Did he say he was going to blend the whole thing, mince and all? Honestly my eldest is 16 and blended hidden veg was a thing way back then (although more likely peppers and carrots than courgette and sugar snaps).
Edit to add - by the time Leni had got through the peas and mango she'd likely be pretty full wouldn't she? It looked like a fair handful of mango he chucked on her tray. Why have her sat there in the highchair expecting food when it's nowhere near ready?

As if no one’s thought to just cut up vegetables really small to put into meals. What a genius. Also isn’t bbq sauce basically pure sugar ? so he’s counteracting a lot of the goodness with that.

I would like to add that I can still see all of that veg in that Bolegnese so not exactly hidden.

i know some people who home schooled properly, and they were part of a big home schooling network where there were.regular meet ups with other local H S children of their childrens age. Every weeks they were doing things like sports, art class, trips to museums as well as regular maths, english etc classes in the home.
Can't see Joe doing any of this..he strikes me as a very insular person who doesn't want his children mixing without him.

Every time he makes a bolognese I remember that Indie was like 2 before they gave her any beef. She had basically lived off of veggie pasta and tuna steaks. So weird for someone that wrote a weaning book.

I still make veg sauce with onions, carrots, tomatoes, leeks, whatever I’ve got then blend it and use it for bolognaise, lasagne etc. But there’s garlic, oregano, balsamic vinegar etc in there for flavour and because it’s smooth it sticks to the pasta. His looked like slop that the kids would pic the pasta out of and leave all the sauce.

That was the grimmest bolognese sauce I’ve ever seen. And I’ve made my first ever post in 3 years of being a member to say that. Never seen anything like it. With all that Worcestershire sauce on top of the bbq sauce it must have been so vinegary

What does he have to gain by putting his kids on camera to “eat” his concoctions every time? And why doesn’t Rosie say something? Does she think it’s a good idea? All you’ve basically done is prove your food is rancid and that indie is a performing monkey who will say anything tastes great with a phone shoved in her face.

It reminds me of when I used to smoke weed, get the munchies, then decide to cook!

I'm not sure but Marley was pointing at Joe/the phone camera, it almost seemed like he wanted to say "stop filming me because I don't like the food". So sad for those poor kids.
I think Leni is becoming his favourite as she's that age where everything is new and exciting, her dad is the center of her world and she can't answer back. Once they get to the stroppy age he struggles to cope.

Hi Joe 👋 did you know the school curriculum for year 1 is more than just shouting phonemes? Does home education mean no education or is Wicks academy yet to return from summer?

I’ve worked with children and young people for my whole near 30 year career: he has absolutely no idea on what his children will need to learn. Sure life experiences, travel and being with family can be all positives. But formal learning is soo much more than a work book and writing. He seemed so surprised when people contacted him about home learning groups and so on! He has no idea!

I honestly think it’s purely so he can spend longer time out the country and not for any beneficial reasons for his kids. When he fails to conquer America (again) They’ll eventually be thrown back into education worse for the years they’ve missed.
