She has never acknowledged her privilege, ever. I don’t doubt that when she was modelling or doing what she was doing that she worked hard and earned excellent money but it’s very easy to pursue a career like that when you haven’t got to worry about having bills to pay or putting food on the table. I wonder if Claire has changed in her husbands eyes and destroyed her career and potentially her marriage. You can be living a normal life with your partner and kids, but if you allow someone to enter that finely balanced harmony, it can cause damage. Not always an affair, it can be a friendship.

I know from experience a rich golf buddy my husband had. Suddenly there were golf days, meals, talk of boys holidays. This buddy was trying to manipulate me to moving closer to his golf club. He was looking at real estate listings and suggesting houses and get this- new jobs for me even though I’d met him twice. It caused a lot of arguments as I felt disrespected but my husband is too laid back and thought it was a bit of a joke. Then when winter came and golf was done for the season, you don’t hear hair nor hide from him! Lesson here: Stay bleeping loyal to your peeps as they’re the ones who’ve been there for you from the start.

If a middle aged mum starts devoting all their time to someone outside the home, doing soft porn (?!) fucks up their job, and starts acting different, not every marriage will survive.
