the older crowd were NOT having alfies dead beat dad routine and a lot of his jokes flopped as most had come to see jessie

he went on a few random history tangents which completely lost the audience and bored the crowd
i am no longer enjoying seeing him live sorry so may not go again

what was Jessie’s show like?
So he called people he has no clue what they look like ugly, yet denies he's ugly when we have public video footage and photos to prove he looks like he lives on beige foods and cheap wine.
jessies was v sweet and honest about her difficulties socialising
she said hasnt had a mum friend in 8 years
she recreated herself at parties
also recreated a convo at a babies library event
i will be going to her future shows

It's so odd the two of them doing shows on the same bill. Their style of comedy is so different, their audiences are so opposite... you'd never normally put them together, the only reason is because they're known for being a couple.
That said
, did they talk about why or how they split up? 🫖How embarrassing. What a loser
He's so used to being pandered to. When he was younger he probably got "Alfie's hot/funny/cool/clever" then Jessie's spent years worshipping him and constantly wanting his babies. So he's not used to hearing "Alfie's pathetic/deadbeat/clichéd/over the hill." Which clearly winds him up. He's not going to find hundreds of women like Jessie to put up with his bullshit.
It must be hard for Alfie just being a supporting character in someone else’s life. Even his outrage at Tattle is based on him playing a role in someone else’s thread, when Jessie moves on (as I hope she does) he will be a distant memory for all of us here. He seems to be delighting in making himself a caricature: half-assed Dad, ageing shagger etc (alongside his desired self image of intellectual thinker). i understand Jessie’s desire to make a silk purse out of the sow’s ear of how their relationship began but surely by now she can’t keep trying to make something out of this horrid man or of their ever fractured relationship.
Big words coming from someone who most assuredly only gets laid because he banged Jessie Cave.
Thanks for this. I would have never survived watching his show. I would have to start throwing tomatoes. I appreciate the sacrifice haha.
Alfie was the sort of bloke I'd have been crazy for before I had 2 hours of therapy every week for a year.
I just hate listened to that episode of the Mild High Club that Alfie was on in November and his talking about how their relationship was open in Edinburgh and open in Australia. It is so very sad to think about Jessie doing those long trips to see him with one or more of their children knowing that he was hoping to shag about up there, and sadder too to think about his going to Australia immediately after the birth of Becker and all of her IT’S TOTALLY FINE narrative.
