I've been wondering since the wedding - do she and/or Jack come from rich families? I know she's got a really loyal following and fair play to her but I don't really understand how they afforded that REALLY expensive seeming wedding and the big house etc off just her salary. She's got less than a million subs so I'm sure she earns a decent living but not millions a year or anything.
It wouldn’t be a huge surprise if a lot the companies involved gave freebies (or heavy reductions at the very least) in exchange for social media mentions, all of which would be undisclosed by dear Jamie of course.

She edits her pics so heavily, on instagram and her youtube thumbnails that her jawline is so chiseled then you click play on her video and wonder where the extra 3 chins came from. When you get botox, it eventually completely wears off as it only affects the muscle and doesn’t necessarily add anything into your face whereas filler does and it takes much longer to go and sometimes never does. Over time it slides down and disperses into other areas on the face. People are then tempted to get more to level the face out and this process is repeated, going round in circles until they’re face is so full of old and new filler it looks lumpy and swollen. Jamie looks like she has mumps. It’s off putting when she edits herself to look completely different. Even the makeup looks so different.
Attached a picture to show her thumbnail then her in the actual video where the eyeshadow, highlighter, lipstick colour etc all looks different and you can see the blur on her left jawline in the thumbnail where she has clearly edited her chin/jaw.

You would be surprised. I know vloggers like Lydia Millen earn well over a £1,000,000 a year (you can view their company details online) and Jamie has more of a following than her. I’m always surprised she isn’t spending more, (seriously, how inexpensive would it be to replace that manky carpet and old wooden dining table they have) and she always mentions money like her and Jack aren’t loaded lol. It’s little things like this that I think has made her likeable to so many (I’m personally not a fan but from what I gather she isn’t on top of the list of influencers with the most ‘haters’). She comes off relatable and humble. She always makes a point of saying stuff like “I thought about buying a Dior bag for ages so really treated myself to it” yet says this about every designer purchase and what about that top of the range Range Rover and Mustang on her drive. She has a load of money but makes out she doesn’t. Also, another thing she hides is the amount of staff working for her. Her parents are never ever in her vlogs but every once in a while she will let slip a clue that her Mum is at her house nearly everyday, cooks for them a lot and her Dad does most of the DIY/handywork in the house. Then she has her friend Charlotte doing admin. But her vlogs are an image of her and her partner living alone, working hard, being humble and having the same struggles as the viewers. She isn’t fooling me. I think they’re saving for another house, they aren’t spending loads on the current house as they aren’t planning on staying there for long. Mortagage companies won’t accept them if they have bad credit from the past so they might be waiting for the 5 years from bad credit to pass and also you need to show at least 3 years worth of earnings. I’m not sure how long she has been making big money but just I’n guessing by now she would be able to get a mortgage big enough for a decent house. I give it a few months before they move into a huge house and they’ll deck it all out and splurge on it then we’ll get to see the real Jamie and Jack. Not as humble as they like us to think they are :). Oh, I forgot, she only wears Mariah Tash jewellery, it costs like £600 for a little nose stud. Yet she claims she doesn’t splurge 😂.

Actually knew jack years ago before he was with Jamie. I know who does her nails and she supports small businesses. She did have an ASA warning before and Has been clear since. I love watching her, she’s more genuine than most.

If you check companies house she makes 6 figures a year. She’s well paid by brands, a lot of gifted items and then jack is paid too.

are we watching the same person? Jamie talks a lot about how she likes expensive things and makes it pretty obvious her friend works for her and also made a video about all her jewellry and gave less expensive alternatives. I think you've got her wrong on this one also pretty sure they own their current house so not sure what the waffle about them not getting a mortgage is

Her hen do was all paid for. She's a nice lass, as mentioned before Jack, her parents and her best pal are all on the payroll. She's grubby but unassuming.
She's done well but I've heard from people who went to her, her make up on them wasn't great. From people who know her, I haven't heard anything bad said about her. But then they could be blinded by the ££££ and freebies.
I don't get her. She's always looked manky when I;ve seen her. Filtered to the hilt in my opinion. But good on her.

I think the house they’re in now was inherited or bought for cheap from a family member (maybe a grandparent that passed away). I’m sure she mentioned once it used to be a family member’s house. I bought a house at 19 but my parents put a huge deposit down so I got a mortgage of about £70k. Just because they live in an owned house doesn’t mean it’s in their name or that they paid for it. Yeah she made the jewellery video but she does say often “I don’t really treat myself”. I don’t think she says anything in a manipulative way, I was just pointing out things like that probably gain likeness because she seems relatable. She has also mentioned they want to move. If they wanted to move there must be something thats delaying it. Getting a mortgage isn’t as simple as getting one if you have the money, you need to prove you have continuously been making that amount of money and have an excellent record of paying everything on time. If you think it’s waffle thats fine but I’m just stating a theory. It wasn’t anything negative about them, just saying I think they’ve been living in the grubby house not doing it up properly because they’re waiting on confirmation on a mortgage for a new place.

There’s mortgage lenders out there for everyone, even the worst of credit and self-employed earnings, she’d have no bother.

Wanting to move can be delayed by a lot of things like finding the right home, work commitments, working to save a larger deposit.

There are not mortgage lenders for everyone. Try and find a mortgage lender that would accept you after a repossession, a recent gap in earnings, CCJs, bankruptcy, an IVA. Even if they would, you would be paying so so much more. “Working to save a larger deposit” is exactly what I said in one of my previous posts.

She’s known the owner of NAF for years and most likely pays for her nails. She’s been self employed in make up so she gets the business side of it.

As someone who works in the finance industry I can assure you there are mortgage lenders that work with repossessions, CCJs, IVAs, Trust Deeds, Defaults, missed payments and credit arrears. There are specialist lenders out there who deal with this stuff daily and are willing to lend. Yes, you’d pay a higher interest rate but in Scotland the house prices are relatively low so it would be marginal over a longer term and as her and Jack are so young they’d be able to stretch the term long until their credit improves if that is the case, which I doubt.

I think people overestimate what influencers earn. Yes, i think they do well but really they work 24 hours a day. Jamie has her life on show 24/7 - imagine having to constantly film everything you do. It just doesn't seem like any sort of life. Can you ever really enjoy anything?

Looking at companies house accounts - she made £340,000 in the 18 months up until December 18. Now yes that's a lot of cash but the nature of influencer marketing means it's not gonna be that much every year, you could argue from summer 2017 the influencer world has become so heavy diluted that payment would naturally fall.
Also bear in mind there'll be 10-20% of that paid to an agent £34-£47k. Then there's 20% corporation tax - £68,000. That takes it down to £238,00 maximum. Then as soon as this cash is lifted out her company there's a further 20% income tax that has to be paid. So you'd be left with £190,000 absolute maximum. Yes it's a great amount of cash but it's not enough to buy a mansion and £5k chanel handbags and designer clothes every week.

A lot of the time people just leave their cash in the company to minimise tax, People like Lydia Millen - yes cash at bank £1million - but that's been sat there for a while and accumulated over years and she'll be due to pay income tax as soon as that comes out her company.
Also bear in mind these people are the sole earners in their household, their husbands don't do anything else.
She paid £68,000 in corporation tax in the last year, so they're on pretty similar earnings.

Also does anyone think influencers are gonna be around forever? Myspace anyone? Imagine taking out a mortgage on a huge house to then find in 5 years that your earnings have dwindled to the point you need to return to normal life and move out your house. Better to start modest and maybe pay off your mortgage on a normal house and see what happens in the future.

You'll notice people like in the frow starting separate companies to launch their own lines - because they know this isn't sustainable. They need another income stream. Jamie has also opened a new company - i imagine her own makeup line is on the way. Influencers that have done very well - someone like Grace Beverly in the UK or the influencer queen Chiara Ferragni - have done so because they have launched their own products. There's only so long you can last punting products for someone else.

Sorry but grossing £340k is an absolute fortune, even with all the tax off that. And that's just one company, might use several companies to minimise tax, expenses or all the freebies. Yes it's not a permie job, but when you're earning 340k in 18 months and getting holidays and everything for free you can save a bit for a rainy day.

I know highly skilled people that work in IT security for banks on a short term contract basis and make a fraction of that.

She’s on the west of Scotland. You can buy a 7 bed, 5 bath house in a gated estate for less than £1mil (prob around £700k tops) in her area.

Also, she wouldn’t pay income tax at 20% on £380k (if she was it’d be higher rate tax on the majority of it). She’d take a minimal salary, then take the rest in dividends (hence setting up a limited company) which have different, far lower taxation rules. She can also keep the money in the company to avoid being heavily taxed but a mortgage can be calculated based on her salary and net profits rather than salary and dividends.

The smart thing to do right now would be to buy a decent sized house, take it on a short term and just plough money into it to get the mortgage cleared.

She’ll have clever accountants, and hopefully a good quality financial planner pointing her in the right direction. She comes across this cute and ditsy girl, but she’s obviously an astute business woman.

You have to think about the fact that what’s she is earning doesn’t have to go to the same things as us - she doesn’t have to pay for another item of clothing or makeup/toiletries for either of them for the rest of her life (exaggeration but only just, having worked in the press and seen the amount of product that goes through the office!) - they get holidays, weekends away, dentistry, facial treatments etc etc. So much of what ordinary people have to save for is handed to them - look at how much of their wedding, something that people normally have to save for years and even borrow for, was gifted. And that’s only what’s declared, I have absolutely no doubt that much of it flies under the radar - influencers are given discount cards and gift cards for everything from shops to restaurants so even what they are spending is much less. What she is earning will be going much further.

Exactly and they claim so much back on taxes. They can literally claim everything as their job is vlogging their life so anything they use in life can be claimed back. One vlogger said she claims her cars back and every piece of clothing she buys. I think it was Patricia. So the amount they actually earn is so much higher than what is shown on their company records. Plus their husbands usually set up a business and get a wage from the influencer wife so that 6 figure Jamie is shown to earn doesn’t include Jack’s earning.

Someone mentioned above that she films 24/7. Errr no 😂🙈 she uploads one makeup tutorial and a 10minute vlog a week doesn’t she? Thats not a 24/7 job, that isn’t even a 9-5. She doesn’t do the editing or admin. She maybe does some emails here and there, those 2 short videos then the odd pic on instagram. Her videos are so lazy, its always her and Jack eating, driving in the car to go to eat or their dogs eating 😂. I don’t understand people who come on this thread to contradict everything and stick up for whoever is discussed, isn’t that done in the ‘rave’ section 🤔?

Usually a 20 minute vlog. Last weeks was half an hour. Is this solely a thread to slate her? Even if she’s been gifted items she usually
Always thanks brands and is honest about it. She turns down many also as she only wants to use brands she uses and loves. Plenty out there that try to flog anything for a price.

she recently took part in bloggers for NHS workers auction too. Definitely more than many are doing.
