As an alcoholic in recovery I just wanted to address this 200 units a week nonsense...

At the very height of my addiction I could easily sink a bottle and a half of vodka in 24 hours, and that's 36 units. Managed that 3 or 4 times a week - believe me i'm not proud of it. And that is 36*4= 144 units a week. And i'm 5'9" and a bit of a chubster

If she drank 200 units a week she would be dead. She makes a mockery of people struggling with sobriety with her lies.

Drinking 200 units a week is also not a level of drinking you can just suddenly stop, as she apparently did and was telling the world how wonderful she felt in less than a week?
The withdrawal symptoms to suddenly stop that level of drinking would be horrid and scary, not to mention bloody dangerous.

She looks like Justin Bieber, so young. I’m only a little bit older than her and she’s too young to sustain this drama. It sounds patronising and I don’t mean it to be, but I hope she finds a rich partner who can keep her in the lifestyle she likes so that she isn’t so unhappy. Then all of her nonsense would be harmless.

My only issue with her aside from eye rolls at her writing style is her poverty porn patreon stuff. If she released novels and cookbooks that weren’t to my style i’d just shrug, but it’s the other stuff. Like any human, I want her to be happy and she isn’t.

Nope, I ended up in patient medically detoxing for several weeks. You would get DTs and brain zaps at the very least, which is super super horrible even with the medical help that I was given. Seriously wouldn't recommend it.

I'm a wee bit older than her too, and had a son at about the same age. I have a family member I'd say is similar to Jack, and it's exhausting for everyone involved. Like you say, it isn't sustainable, and thankfully my close relative is coming over the bumps and into a period of stability. I genuinely hope JM can get there too.
