That was my experience, I didn't realise I was burnt out until I just read the description on here, I just knew that I was not well. I couldn't remenber where the dishwasher was or where the bathroom was, and the worst time was driving down the motorway with my kids in the car when I forgot how to drive which was terrifying. I picked the gp whom I got on very well with and confessed everything. He was so kind and lovely and refered me for talking therapy. the consultant used to hold clinics at the practice and I used to go along and see them. I couldn't see how it could help, but it did. At no time did either of them alter my medication.

I am very grateful to both of them
One of the weirdest experiences that I had when poorly was forgetting how to read 😬. I was reading something in my phone, laying in bed and suddenly I couldn't read the words anymore, it was like someone had switched it for a foreign language that I didn't recognise. I was staring at the words, straining to make sense of them, but couldn't read them. It passed after about 15 minutes. Scary and very bizarre.

It seems like Jack has used the mental health card to manipulate Louisa back - and it's worked.

It worked before - when Louisa would be on a night out and Jack conveniently had a "wobble" so Louisa had to go back to tend to Jack.

Jack is a very, very manipulative woman.

To be honest that Chambertin was quite snide and was trying to rub Jack’s nose in it that Louisa is single.

Regarding the “chemical rollercoaster”, I agree with other posters who say that this inaccurate, dramatic description adds stigma to psychiatric medication and people who use them.
Hi Louisa! 👋

One of the things that stood out for me was when I was working, I would be doing an everyday task and I would stop right In the middle but be like " now what do I do?" It was like someone hit shut down. It was real, it used to take me a good few minutes to actually remember what I needed to do.

Genuine question from someone with no clue, but is it possible that a liberal use of amphetamines could be responsible for rapid weight loss?
Yep, in fact people often obtain ADHD drugs (without a prescription) for this very reason. Don’t think that’s what jack did but it is a well known side effect particularly if you don’t actually have ADHD. A quick google search throws up a few interesting articles as well if you’re interested.

Ugh, why did I look at her thread again, I’m as bad as Jack! Ffs Jack, you’re an adult, hon - perhaps don’t sit with your adult friend on the sofa whilst looking for trouble on their insta comments? When my actual friends come to my house, phone goes on the side, that’s that. Nobody ever sits commenting on Instagram when socialising, do they? Isn’t it excruciatingly bloody rude?

She even admitted this I think, in some long-deleted tweet, that weight loss was due to ADHD meds, and it set off some arguing on Twitter when other people jumped in saying they wished they could lose weight that way. Does anyone else remember this? Then she decided the weight loss was due to the break up.
Yep totally. People who genuinely have ADHD and therefore don’t always feel the appetite suppressant effects as strongly, and she was a snarky rude cow to them of course. Even the jack-o-lanterns. Only a week or so ago.

I really don't think that this sort of speculation is fair. I lost a tit load of weight through grief.
? I don’t get it. No one was commenting on your weight loss. Weight loss is a well documented side of effect of methylphenidate and other ADHD meds so it’s not speculation.

I am hoping tonight is the " closure talk" that she needs in order to move on, but if not does that mean she can re- afford her rent again. ( Hooray)

I’m a GP with an interest in mental health and would never prescribe combinations of different antidepressants together. Sometimes they’re used together but only under guidance from a psychiatrist. Sometimes we give a beta blocker to help with anxiety symptoms or sleeping tablets (very rarely) but most people with anxiety or depression just get one prescription for SSRIs and a long chat about lifestyle stuff.
This is my experience. I have been on anti-depressants a long time but when I fell pregnant, the GP referred me to the peri-natal psychiatrist and I was discharged from her when my son turned 1.

I noticed a further dip in my mood after that and the GP said they couldn’t help if I wanted to change medication (which I did) and I was referred to a Psychiatrist. I’m on a combination of medicines and none of those will change without speaking to him.

ETA after reading my partner Bosch’s post, the NHS Psychiatrist I see is big on CBT and I’ve been seeing a Psychologist for that. He’s away to switch jobs so I won’t have that and I still don’t feel great at all. Maybe it’ll always be this way? Who knows. But the MH services on offer are lacking in all areas and it’s a shame because they’ll be pushed more to their limit this year.

If I could afford it I would go private. But I wouldn’t beg for cash on Twitter and have a laugh at the expense of those who contributed by going to a private Doctor...

Was about to post how lovely it was to see Louisa getting on so positively with her life. Saw this and kind of understood why she maybe decided to flee.

Well, I would think that one thing Louisa doesn't have is a bell end so that's a weird insult to my eyes, before the outright rudeness is considered.

Does the tattoo on her hand in recent pic read “find what you love and let it kill you?”

She made a single serving of polenta 40 mins ago because of "gloomies". Maybe Louisa just left whilst Jack was fixated on having an argument on her Instagram post and Jack didn't notice?
Wow, there's the colourful one guys. What a classic.
Coming up soon, the black and white. What will it be? I fear it will not be able to compare to the iconic "Celery. Edinburgh." modern masterpiece. What have you got in store for us Jack? So excited to find out.
