What I would be interested in though is to see what connections she and her family have to media/political/business figures that could explain why on earth she has been elevated to the position she’s in, given her complete lack of knowledge and talent. Although these connections are rarely proof of actual back-scratching and/or financial deals, even though we can surmise that’s probably what’s going on.
Betcha anything it involves standing in a bowl of pear and bacon porridge with your tartan traaaaazer leg rolled up.

Military around the edges 🔺 no idea what the medal above the others is, poss civil service medal. Is positioned above because not awarded in service. The puzzler is the two gold embroidery pieces on either sleeve; seem to be in the wrong place for a blazer and not a recognisable insignia. Any better pics appreciated. Sorry if garbled, am relaying info. (Feel like something from ‘Allo, ‘Allo)
Ah, good spot on the turning to 11 of the embroidery. Not a simple breast pocket badge for Big D MBE!

I've long thought that Jack resents her parents for fostering children and giving them a stable life.

It meant less attention and disposal income to be lavished on our Jackie and I bet she hated it. Not sure if that's what led to her being so needy and grabby or whether that's just who she is.

AR is a real person and not Jack. She was easy to find online as she's been in her local paper at least twice. Loads of personal info in the articles. She does, however, appear to be just as annoying as Jack so they probably have a lot in common.
Thanks for that, I don't have the patience or even the interest anymore to looking into whether her fans are stans or socks.

I wonder if Big Dave and possibly other family members were the type to say "well, Jack you can't have this thing, because we have to spend our money on the foster children"? Did she resent them entirely off her own bat or was she to some extent led towards it? She does have some odd ideas about what constitutes child abandonment, and there's that comment about 'knowing it's wrong to foist your children onto other people' when she's talking about getting childcare while you're at work.

Do you mean the bin badges? He says those are probably something like British legion badges or organisations he’s part of

Ah you got there before me!
No, the gold patches on either sleeve.

Re the UN peacekeeping medal, contact thinks of worn at all it would be in the main row, not above. Says ribbon looks too dark a blue as well. Would have to have been awarded in Cyprus, judging by dates of the rest of the service. Sceptical it is UN but no other ideas either.

Russ in Cheshire remortgaging his house because Jack announces she'll be doing rear foo foo shots for top tier subscribers and then nothing happens.
Strong rifles-through-knicker-drawers vibes with that one.

I’m not military or military around the edges, but I suspect Big D is legitimate on all his military stuff because a) he’s clearly deeply involved in various associations as you say and b) Jack has brought so much attention towards him for various military related reasons over the years that someone on the hellsite would definitely have picked up by now if he wasn’t.

ETA because I cannot complete a thought atm: from the local media reports he seems to love being in he’s always struck me as the type who would be quite full of himself and his achievements (best person ever to foster/serve in the Falklands style) but truthful at the same time.
Big Dave don't seem like he's the worst person in the world.

Having said that, I'd fuckin hate having him as a neighbour

Picking up on the smug comments, they seem the sort of family who would definitely have sent those awful round robin Christmas cards with a terrible update. ‘This year we’ve celebrated Big Dave being the bestest most Marxist landlord ever! Our son has become an Iain Duncan Smith super fan!’ Wonder if they stopped when Jack became an almighty car crash? ‘Jack has successfully fucked up the most chances ever, whilst becoming quite the snow hoover!’ Doesn’t have quite the same ring…

Traditionally it takes a village to help raise a child. Whilst the traditional support networks have faded over time, childcare support is still largely delivered by women and there is no shame in using child care services. Society has evolved, women are no longer confined to being home makers post marriage and now women make up half the work force filling valuable roles in education, care and health in particular.
Most mums I know have always used a mixture of grandparents and child minders for additional care Jack had no shame in asking grandparents to care for her son. She is denigrating women for doing something completely normal. It's also a nice social experience for children, even young babies and early socialisation might benefit the immune system too. It's really crappy behavior from self proclaimed feminist and mother of the year Jack Monroe.
And working class communities have always mucked in to help with childcare. Which she'd know if she was working class. I regularly had a bunch of friends and neighbours babies over when my own were small. Jack would've wanted paying if she ever did that.
