It's not Saaaarfend where Jack lives, it's fucking Narnia.

Sorry for treating you like a personal google, dear heart, but I knew that you would know off the top of your head.
Frauen- research the eviction mentions!
I’ve now looked through pretty much her entire blog, deleted posts and all during the time her son would have been three and there is not one single mention of eviction; in fact, in 2013 she told the Guardian she was “nearly evicted” when she got her book advance and her benefits were suspended.

But these things change, and now…
Potatoes 2020: evicted, benefit suspended because made herself unemployed.

2022: benefit WITHDRAWN (not even suspended) almost a dozen times and evicted.

Did not “write about it a lot at the time”. Did not write about it at all in fact.

Linky link to the sadface guardian article-same one we’ve seen before. With (unplugged) fridge. For FORENSIC referencing

PS that tweet above is the one with the now infamous follow up of
Oh and PPS I just noticed that the misery porn that is Potatoes, 2020, just like HH1 and HH2 in 2012&2013 was published on 30 July. Unlike this years hyperbolic equally fictional misery fest which she missed by a day

I think the 25mins is the whole prep time not the cooking time

Would the housing benefit office really suspend payments based on a BBC article? Would they not look for proof from Jack first?

12 "withdrawn" in 12 months? The main reason I find this impossible to believe is that HB has never been efficient enough to have processed any claim that quickly in the first place! More likely she might have repeatedly made applications every few weeks and had it denied every time for failure to evidence income etc.

I'm not CL, but it could be partly to do with the housing benefit claim. Some councils won't pay housing benefit if you're renting off a close family member.

The reason I know this is because when I split up with my emotionally abusive ex husband he said the only way he was leaving my flat, which was in my sole name and I'd paid the mortgage on by myself, was if I bought a nice buy-to-let and rented it to him - which is when I discovered that Croydon Council wouldn't pay HB if the landlord was a close relative or spouse. Absolutely saved my financial bacon!

My 6 year old daughter spent a number of days reclining on the sofa after hurting her leg. I made her a little desk so she could play without moving, I fed her strawberries and dipped cookies in tea for her as she convalesced. Mr Katkat came home from a few days away and as soon as I left the room she was up, jumping around and hugging him. When she heard me coming back into the room she quickly got back on the sofa and dabbed theatrically at her brow. Of course everyone with autism is different, but anyone can lie and whenever she spouts that shit I think about my girl who did a number on me and tbh I have nothing but respect for her (my daughter not Jack )

Not Jack Monroe using “sixpence” as part of her Dickensian “more jam please mummy” roleplay.

Spare a tuppence guvnor? wot?!? This Burberry bonnet? No sir, I faaand it in a puddle outside the workhouse sir *coughs splutters*

On a less hilarious note. Monroe had her kid eat dry bread for a week rather than asking her multi house owning parents for a quid for 30p for Jam

She really does get all her info about poverty from Dickens doesn’t she? Ridiculous.

Frauen, in the Green Belt Festival talk from 2017, she defo says she was evicted as she couldn't pay the rent. I'll find the exact time in the hour-long spewing unless someone else wants to suffer for their hoops.

All that said, she also proclaims in that talk that she last sang publicly when she "led the worship band in church 15 years ago". Reader, she was 14. How very tender.

I think it’s split into flats. I had a friend in that area who lived in the bottom half of such a house and it was a bit dingy
I'm honestly not convinced. It doesn't come up as an A and B or Flat 1 and 2 etc anywhere. Was still a house when grandad bought it (1999) and for the others that are split into flats, they seem to have been done by the late 90s. Hard to confirm from street view though because there's a ladder on a van blocking out the door number

Edit: managed to go back to old streetview images and it does just look like one house from the outside.

Actually, I missed something from the last post. I’m trying to see if I can pinpoint exactly when she changed her story/the first time she ever claims to have actually been evicted.

2016: Had previously been “under threat of eviction” til a friend paid her rent

Also, in July 2013 a different story about benefits (and rent arrears) from the one in my initial post. From the Observer. Delays to payments, not “suspended because she’d deliberately made herself unemployed”

Also from earlier this year; here apparently she’s SEVERAL TIMES been evicted, but these were NO FAULT eviction notices (so nothing to do with housing benefit delays, withdrawals or suspensions, or book advances, or rent arrears), because some landlords “just didn’t want a tenant who used benefits”. This is a direct quote.

So as far as I’ve got, up to and including 2016, including in her deleted blog posts she never once mentions being evicted. The first mention so far is potatoes in 2020, then the above article where she’s been evicted several times, then the tweet from earlier this year. All three accounts of said eviction(s) contradict one another. She also says she “wrote about it a lot at the time” where there is not a single solitary word about it from her back then.

EDIT: I see another frau has her claiming to have been evicted (in 2017 at Greenbelt). That’s the earliest mention so far.

Just a thought, I suspect the reason she rents off a private landlord is due to HB rules - I suspect she is declaring minimum income to claim HB and CTR - if she was paying full rent I'm sure Daddy would be renting to her...although there are also rules around letting to family with a B2L mortgage - I've looked into this myself and the mortgage can only be done as a second home mortgage which is more expensive.

Why would they let her move in there in the first place then??
