I think the parody tweeter also having a tip jar is pretty funny tbh. I wouldn't give to it but.....it's very Jack. Maybe that's why she got the hole about it. Diversion of funds? 😂
Poor Jack had a premature tantrum. The tip jar didn't even exist back then. Maybe it'll prompt her to charge back on to Twitter Raging Bullshit style and claim they're using her name and reputation to nick funds.

They moved in together incredibly quickly. I think it was days before she moved to London, SB in tow. Engagement announcements were in May of that year, and they’d split by October. Then Jack moved back to Southend and complained that SB didn’t have a school place nearby, because well, she’d been dragging the poor kid from place to place. I’m not sure how long the romance lasted in total.

I dunno. I know Allegra is a bit of a tit person but I wouldn’t blame her for Jack’s ridiculousness. The age gap would have made things difficult to begin with, especially since Allegra was already an established name and Jack was just a budget blogger. There’s plenty of evidence that Jack was an entitled bleep long before the days of Leggy and her media crew, and it’s not like Jack was some smol little 19 year old with big dreams. She was 27 and had a kid. Most people in that situation would have been much more sensible.

And did Jack ever milk the Leggy break up. The fake heart attacks and moving to a sad widdle draughty cold flat (which was actually gorgeous and a 2 bed overlooking the sea).
Didn’t Jack also say “my kids” when she was with Leggy, meaning her own son but also Leggy’s child? Just like SB’s half-siblings when she went on vacay with them earlier this year in fact.

I also find it very telling that in the pic in Leggy’s kitchen accompanying yet another grim article about them, Allegra is covering her own child’s face with the pan she’s holding (and maintaining said child’s privacy), while Jack has zero such concerns and has her poor other cash cow young son on full display yet again.

Oh, and pretty sure in that same article yet yet again Jack had been ‘very ill’ the night before and Leggy had to look after her and fuss over her. Just like (by Jack’s own admission) Louisa, SB’s father, her mum who sends her brother round with food, her friends who leave soup on her doorstep, OH, Burger Boy with his welfare checks, the PoPo, and everyone else in her life, (including her young son who according to her had to check she was still breathing when she passed out pissed) all had/have to.

Her poor Mum, still “raising her” after thirty four bleeping years. And every single fucker in her life who was able to run for the hills absolutely legged it.

(though I seriously beg to differ on the “right” part)

@Winthropp Tuesday. Totally get you with the Jack grifting but I need a brew too as I think we're getting into A Scanner Darkly/ Inception territory. As a sci fi Frau, I am proud to be a head.♥

I think it's best to reign it in on the parody accounts. No offence to anyone, but I don't think every post needs to be repeated here.

Best to have some distance as tattle is about public figures. ☮

I mean, if you're going to do a proper job of impersonating Jack, you've got to beg for money surely? Is it even Jack if there's no tip jar to be seen? 🤷‍♀️

The EF Benson chat today has given me life! Had an interview this morning for a marginally less stressful job and they said I’d get a call before 5pm and nobody called. Since I fell happily into this canal, every time someone has said ‘tender one’ I think immediately of Tilling and it makes me laugh. So glad to know that other Fraus are taking their performative shopping baskets to Twistevents (sp?) You all make me soooo happy

ETA TwisteVANTS and just had a tiny owl champagne remembering Lucia having to buy veg grown in the garden of Mallards that time she rented it from Mapp. Apologies to mods but if you haven’t read these books you really should, tender ones.
I've read one of them it was absolutely hilarious 😂😂

A new slop! Another recipe in progress! Another insistence on telling us how many people are (supposedly) in her household!

But... But... I thought she was gifted 🤔
I've been thinking about this too. I was never told I was gifted but was always top of the class in primary school and the first few years of secondary school, but due to undiagnosed ADHD, didn't live up to expectations in my GCSE's - getting 4 at A-C, which wasn't enough to take A-Levels. I was determined to get a job, but my dad persuaded me to stay at school and we saw the head of sixth form, who let me stay on as I was "obviously very able, but needed to pull myself together".

This was the early 90's and my eldest daughter failed her GCSE's very badly 10 years ago for the same reason, but was allowed to join the sixth form in a new school when we moved house after meeting with the head of year, who saw her potential. If Jack was diagnosed "gifted and talented", surely the school would have let her stay on?

And I will never believe that her teachers told her that she would only be good for flipping burgers. Even in the 80's/90's that did not happen. Imagine claiming to be a socialist and doing down public sector workers in such a way :(

The books are truly worth reading, dear Aunty. I believe Amazon has the collection for Kindle for 3.99 or similar.❤
Thankspaceyou so much, I've picked one up for 99p (don't think it's the full collection but I'll start small as I don't read very often). 😘

Was this introduction written about Lucia, or Jack Monroe?

Outrageously pretentious, hypocritical and snobbish, Queen Lucia Ludicrous, ‘as by right divine’ rules over the toy kingdom of ‘Riseholme’ based on the Cotswold Essex village of Broadway Sarfend. Her long-suffering husband Pepino Squig is ‘her prince-consort’, the outrageously camp Georgie Squig is her ‘gentleman-in-waiting’, the village green Twitter is her ‘parliament’, and her subjects squigs, such as Daisy Quantock Space Squig, are hapless would-be ‘Bolsheviks’. In Lucia Ludicrous in London, the prudish erm..., manically ambitious Lucia launches herself into the louche world of London society. Her earnest determination to learn all about insert herself into ‘modern movements’ makes her the perfect comic vehicle for Benson’s Tattle's free-wheeling satire of salon social media society, and of the dominant fads and movements of the 1920s 2020s, including vegetarianism, yoga, palmistry, Freudianism, séances, Post-Impressionist art, shite cooking and Christian Science.

Makes you think!

I think the trigger that was too much for Leggy was when Jack, like a toddler pushed boundaries for attention and thought being trans would supply it. Maybe Leggy was extra busy at the time actually working. The thing is, Leggy likes the things women have because, well..and said something like I like tits, babe. I don't think Leggy was unreasonable about that.

Allegra has just been on Steph's Packed Lunch. My god, she's formidable. Easy to see how that relationship broke down, Allegra is a woman who takes no crap.
