What hits me is that Jack is not innocent to judgement
She thinks "poor people's" diet needs cultivating to "upper class" trends and standards. We can see this in how she makes fashionable food ideas "affordable for poor people"
Maybe people who are living on less are fine with beans on toast. Chicken and chips. Soup out of a tin. And jacket potatoes

I haven't worded this well but does anyone get where I'm coming from?

Lower income people don't need fixing to be like richer people.
Exactly this! It’s like I really want a fridge that looks like a smeg, always have done, no idea why. So i’d get the copy, and that would be fine and dandy. She wants people to think she has the copy but she loves having the original.

Speaking of copies... I heard about Penhaligon perfume via here. I have had a few copies from the Perfume Parlour (where I get all my perfume) they are lovely. 10/10 recommend.

My favourite meal ever is fish fingers, mash and baked beans. No joke. Gorgeous.

Absolutely! When I had a very limited budget for food, I lived off things like dals, chickpea curries, jacket potatoes, lentil bologneses, and carrot and potato soup. By slowly investing in spice and herb jars over the months, I found that I could cook flavoursome food. But definitely not haute cuisine! And why would I waste a tin of spaghetti hoops trying to make something fancy when I could just have them with some tobasco, smoked paprika and toast.

I actually think this is the worse i’ve seen her.

This damage is irreperable, right? Surely. What on earth was she thinking?!
Trigger warning. Talk of sexual abuse.

She changed her name because of "multiple sexual assaults and trauma". I was the subject of childhood sexual grooming. I was assaulted from the age of 11, and raped from the age of 12. It is horrific. I plucked up the courage to go to the police just a couple of years ago, after seeing my abuser, now in his late 80's, in the papers getting married to a man in his 20's. The horror came flooding back and all the repressed emotions resurfaced. What made things worse was finding out that he had spent his whole career as a teacher of primary school children. I won't go into too many details, that may identify me but just to say, it is unlikely he will ever leave prison to hurt another child.

If JM's allegations are true, and I have no reason to doubt them, then I would hope she gets the courage to go to the police. It is to my shame that I allowed this man to go on to abuse others. I have had to have counselling to deal with the guilt I feel for not thinking about those others that were abused after me, that went through the same, and in some cases worse, than me. I comfort myself with the fact that 60's Britain was a different place than now, and hopefully I would have acted sooner had this been going on today. JM will not be able to use such reasoning to excuse her lack of action.

Talking about sexual assaults online, changing her name, threatening to name these perpetrators and not doing so, is not dealing with the problem. Allowing them to carry on with the same behaviour is almost akin to permitting the abuse of others to carry on. She will, like me, forever live with the guilt that she could have stopped the abuser from moving on and abusing others. JM has the chance to do what I failed to do, there is so much more support today.

I could go on, but to be honest I am finding this very difficult. Someone with any sort of following, like JM, who continually references abuse, has a duty to report and see through these allegations with police. They are, like it or not, an example to others. With their fame comes a huge amount responsibility. JM seems to not realise this with her flippant way she just chuckes about allegations.

I am writing this with tears in my eyes, and a feeling as though I am about to vomit, the emotions never diminish. So sorry if this has triggered anyone, but unsure how to hide text behind warning.

Also she has a very white british lane which shows.

I’m second gen Irish and growing up we ate a mix but yeah lots of beige 😂 All of my Turkish / Ghanaian / etc friends ate entirely differently to us, their mums were obviously cooking meals from their heritage and often it was in bulk prepped for the week, and always from “world” food centres (dunno what you call them but you know like Turkish food centre or lithuenica etc) and the market. The way urban & immigrant families will cook on a budget is so different to her schtick, and if she was genuinely interested in the betterment of poor British children she’d open up her platform to include these well versed voices who can offer amazing advice, but she’s just after her next book deal. I don’t know anyone that would cook the disgusting tit she does tbqh 😬

Edit: @MancBee sending you lots of love, incredibly brave of you to have come forward about your experiences and I’m glad he’s inside what a piece of tit x

Waiting for something to be done to my IT so this morning I can focus on more important things.

But I never thought I'd be defending DW, but really? Jack goes after DW on social media, his account ignores her, and suddenly all the Jackolytes start acting like he has gone round her house and threatened to lam her.

All he has done is write a book she didn't like.

And Jack has the kitten seen a vet yet?

And your new followers are only there to watch the car crash.

If she were truly working-class, or really had experienced true poverty, she wouldn't go on about it. She has a very middle-class mindset - which comes out ALL the time.

@MancBee - you are incredibly strong and brave. Thank you for sharing your experience, and I'm really sorry she has triggered you. She has NO idea how to show empathy - she just spews out anything that might get her attention.

Been grunka-ing through the last couple of threads after being away for a few days (camping, was blissful).

Reading about Jack's late night escapades here was bad enough, but when I popped over to Twitter to take a look what struck me was the NUMBER of tweets. I thought everyone had kind of cancelled David Walliams at this point? Isn't this old news?
My favourite part is the juxtaposition of saying she thinks parents ought to take responsibility for what their kids are reading and then saying "DO YOU REALLY EXPECT ME TO CHECK EVERY WORD?" with no sense of irony.

Also, the kitten sex video, wtf was that? One of the strangest things I have ever seen in my life.

Also
it looks to me as though there is something not okay with the poor kitten's eyes, Or do all tiny cat's eyes look like that?

Phew, caught up. What a ride!

I wonder what on earth tipped her so over the edge last night? It can't have just been a DW book, it can't, surely? No one is that sensitive, and if they were, they'd be paying more attention to what their child was
My guess is SB has been at the Dad's house for a week or so. Probably gone on about hiw much fun he had and that Dad got him the new DW book. She went raging off at him because of jealousy. No actual grounds to slag him off so started picking apart the book

just my guess m'lud
