It enrages me too. I feel like she just wheeled this out as she have started to suspect that she was a replying to a thread that was subtweeting her (the hate it when middle class people tell poor people how to budget… some squigs had mentioned people who miss out cleaning products and shampoo in their prefomative budget shops)

Her thread was trying to assert herself as a “true poor” and not a poverty tourist (which she is). Truly offensive but also too much, she over egged the urchin imagery and it stretched credibility.

it’s been 10 years since Jack was poor
She was on benefits for 18 months, tops
She resigned from her call centre job
She visited a food bank ONCE
she has a supportive family who are not short of money
She has written that her son’s dad is supportive and always has been
She rents a massive house, and there is no reason that she would be tied into a year long contract unless she decided to be, after her last partner moved out
Since Lock down 1 she has worked with Del Monte, Hellmans, Linda McCartney, Netflix, Daily Express, GQ, Daily Kitchen Live, This Morning, Twitter (probably more I’ve forgotten).
She currently has a slot on Lorraine.
Her Patreon gives her approx £2.5k a month minimum, and she hasn’t updated it in well over a year.
She is not poor.

Oh too many to mention . I did used to be a nurse though but was out of the work place for a 9 years to look after the junior elastoblasts. I did pick up on an accidental overdose at Christmas, someone had taken two types of paracetamol tablets for back pain, and the other week I had to alert a nurse as I realised someone who'd called in for dental pain was actually having a sickle cell crisis. Obviously that makes me head of the NHS!
