Why does she never show any of the death threats etc? Just...pop a little screenshot of them on her Twitter?

Oh wait , I know why. Cos they don't exist
I wouldnt be *that* surprised if Jack gets threats ir abuse either publicly or in DMs. Someone with that following on twitter will get threats.

From what I've seen, she doesn't really have any trolls. Not to the likes of the influencer lot, who get death threats and creepy incels etc. She actually has a large and supportive fanbase. The only people labelled trolls are the ones pointing out the truth, politely pointing no less!

Everything has to be twisted up into her victimhood. 'Poor Jack Monroe' in every way possible.

She's probably right now at her parents million pound house, eating a full plate of roast dinner, getting new notes from Papa H on what Tory rhetoric she can prove this week.

@Sideboard Bob I'm quoting myself (like a twit), I candymanned Jack :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Sorry for all these screenshots, I think I just feel a bit powerless at the moment and the only way to combat it is to document how this is going down.

The word "donate" is making me feel sick.

She's not a charity, she's not giving money to charity, she's just buying rusty spoons and shouting on Twitter. Pay her to do that all you want, I mean Lord knows there are plenty of people earning big bucks for sod all, she's not the only charlatan out there, but SHE IS NOT A CHARITY.

Current number is 660 so using £3.08 (after fees) that's £2032.80 a month.
With the uplift of of new champagne socialists, using 50% of at the higher level of £6.60 we have
200*6.6
660*3.08
Totalling £2675.20 a month. The equivalent of a £32k a year job, above the national average, for not doing anything.

I support 2 people on Patreon. One is the aforementioned Dawn O'Porter who averages a post every 2-3 days. For the minimum fee, that to me is good value. Plus she does occasional lens videos which are time limited.

I hope Asda offer work experience in every dept in store and at the distribution centres. Asda Aces were subcontractors but now work direct - how fun would be to know "Asda Ace to aisle 9 please" meant someone pushing a mop?

I know recent Jack-events have been hard to stomach (even more than her recipes) but any serious chance of a career is all but over.

Can you imagine being in the same field as someone and they send out a pity post on your behalf (which you then retweet)?

The cook book writing and appearances are obviously on their last legs with angry rent-a-gob jobs the only work for Jack now until the grown ups are available.

I know she gets the odd thing but her "star" really is declining from where it was. Any professional cred Jack may have had, has gone and all that is left is the Grift.

The patreon numbers are galling right now but that's all there is.
There's no dignity, little respect (apart from the squigs), the blue tick interest will fade just as quickly as it rose and Jack will fritter the patreon money away. Whatever Jack gets will never be enough.

I'd almost feel sorry for her but being familiar with all aspects of her work, I Shan't.

Your spoilered bit is sickening to read.
And still the entitled gobshite has to moan.
Something obviously is worrying her. More scrutiny? Having to actually do something now?
Her seminal index is now due in 12 days. This is after all what her donations are enabling her to complete 🙄

Yes. It's like Nigella is acknowledging the fact that Jack's "career" is DEAD and Patreon is her only hope of making any money :ROFLMAO:

Does she have to pay tax on Patreon earnings? Or is it classed as a donation?
She isn’t a charity.
It’s taxable.

her fees also have vat on them - I wonder if Patreon sorts out the VAT. Which is odd as I would have thought the ‘creator’ was proving the vatable goods or services not Patreon. I’m not a vat expert. But vat returns will then be another thing to deal with.

The only thing keeping me going now is when a newbie pops in and says hi.
Those who don’t likeor support Jack will be greater in number, but quieter. This is just silly squiggles joining in on the latest thing, hopefully a younger demographic who expect results from their Patreon.

I think VAT is around 17,5% but I’m probably wrong. In any case, zero multiplied by any number is zero so her vat bill is nil

I've don't have the patience to do Big Maths, but I've been thinking.

With this massive increase in Patreon subs, does this now mean that Jack can replace the Omega Seamaster watch that she had to sell during her short time in poverty? You know, the watch that her parents bought her for her 21st. The parents who aren't at all well off and must've sold their last sideboard to pay for it. They start at around £2.5k I believe, but that'll be what a month of Patreon payments roughly?
Or does it finally mean that her SB won't get sent to school with butterless sandwiches and maize snacks? Maybe he'll get some tiger bread, or sourdough. A roll, or even a bagel? Perhaps crisps. Monster munch, hula hoops, or even McCoys?

Chances are it'll already be spunked on some more William Morris curtains and Cotswold Company furniture come the morning😞

I'm still sure the comedown/falldown from this is going to be massive.

I'd wondered whether her near total silence about the patreon explosion was out of fear. If I had hundreds of people suddenly subscribing to a service I knew I was failing to provide, but had been getting away with it, I'd be a clammy mess.

It would be so stressful, I think I would be in blind panic trying to think about what I could to appease the new subscribers or how to change the tiers slightly to make the deliverables actually achievable.

But nope. Jack is so non-plussed she's given it a second boost, without even acknowledging her income from it has likely more than doubled in the last 24 hours.

Cash in first, cry later is the strategy I guess?

Well I dunno if Jackie gal is going to be able to cope with all the postcards & runs to the postal office- especially without Caroline now she’s left.
I wonder if Caroline leaving had anything to do with the website crash & taxes not being down-
Caroline must have a WHOLE heap of stuff I’d love to know- she would have seen it all.

VAT is 20%. I’m wondering why vat is applicable? Is it always applicable on patreon subs? Seems weird unless she’s putting the subs through bootstrap and bootstrap is vat registered. She wouldn’t be able to charge vat otherwise. Or does the vat portion go through patreons books? I’m going to investigate

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at that meeting where she immediately backs down in the face of smiling corporate chat with a slight undertone of legal menace. Personally I'd love a furious store manager to drag her round the shop by her horrible ear pointing at the value stuff and roaring "what's that Scotch mist????" in her stupid grifting face.

We will of course have be treated to her ridiculous "Jack Saves the Day- AGAIN" version of events which the moron squigs will eat right up. I have resigned myself to her overtaking the Queen in the wealth stakes via Patreon donations.
Although Consultant Jack is always very funny.

Quoting myself but VAT is collected and accounted for by patreon https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/205259549-How-Does-VAT-Work-on-Patreon-
