There’s definitely some issues, it’s not Russia circa 1970s or Cuba but there are things missing - like, last couple of times I’ve been shopping at my local Aldi can’t get tinned plum toms but can get chopped tinned tomatoes.Are there food shortages in the UK now? The shelves looked a bit sparse when we were home in the summer and there was definitely less choice. My mum and sister tell me everything is fine but they only shop online and I don’t trust them!

It started with fresh fruit and veg, then bread and now some specialist vegan items. Some item shelves are currently empty for weeks on end before there is a restock. I'm not seeing pandemic level shortages but definitely less choice and some others missing altogether with no idea of when they will be back.
