and with contained abandon (soz if slipping into JM parlance there) as ever at the Instagram captions, but I've started to read them in the cadence of the Audio Description voices which embellishes them with an atmosphere that's giving me chills x

Scuse me, but I am Daniel Blake is one of the funniest articles ever.
"Angry, devastated, furious, howling"

The classic Jackism! I could say I miss eternally angry & clawing at the floor Jack, but I would be lying

Has Jack ever been on benefits? Has she any expertise to comment on that film (I know she has lever arch files full of other people’s stories).

Yeah like they refused to apply for them one time cos “mummy works” but also they did claim them and they were delayed and messed up, like once she took a part time job so all the benefits stopped so she quit after two shifts and then it delayed benefits and the puddles were just water and she removed the lightbulb from her mums fridge, yeah?

you know, when it comes to "I, Jack Monroe", I always think of "I, Tonya" before "I, Daniel Blake"

The hastily painted interior of a highly flammable garden shed has been decorated as a primitive representation of a kitchen.

There are crude shelves containing mysterious labeled bottles, jars and tins. There are strange implants hanging from the walls. On one of the cluttered surfaces there is a cheap camping stove. There is no source of any water.

It is dangerous.

Don't forget the bit where she was chased for a benefit overpayment ! Trying to work out her backstory timeline like...

Honestly, at this point I don't even believe she used the food bank.
There was one visit before fessing up to the ‘rents
At this one visit they gave baby milk formula (not allowed) for SB who was at least 12 months old. If not more like two
Jack had to eat the baby milk herself because she got hungry and had nothing else to eat in the time between arriving home from the food bank with food bank food and the following day when her parents brought bags of food round
