There was a cat on my street years ago who would cruise the neighbourhood knocking socks off of washing lines and taking them home. His owners ended up putting a box of stolen socks on their fence with a note asking if anyone owned them and apologising for their cat's'hormonal problem'. Someone else added another note suggesting they should give the cat money to smell before they let him out of a night to see if he'd bring home some cash instead. I miss living on that street
