Jack Monroe #18 From giving THAT MAN hell to a Hellman's collab, “Baby Nigella’s” food is still making us gag.

Also no reply to this:

Or this:

So her mum gave her homemade fruit crumble and didn't even get a reply, let alone a thank-you.

Sorry, Jack's mum, but you'll have to get yourself a blue tick if you want your daughter to respond to you!

If I were Jack, I'd be sharing my mum's baking with everyone on my Twitter and saying 'look how awesome my mum is! She's a much better baker than I am!'.

Jack is a gross human being.

That's really sad for her mum. Her food looks really nice, but clearly doesn't fit Jack's narrative

I have to agree with you. Not acknowledging her mum is a kick in the teeth, rude, mean and shows her complete and utter arrogance.

Hope her arthritis is alright jumping about like that.
Give it a few days when she gets a bee in her bonnet over something. The woe is me will come back full pop. In pain, depressed etc. I imagine that will happen on book launch day! May 28th.

Not acknowledging her mum is heartless - no blue tick, no comment, Eve!!
Also, she’s probably spewing that her mum’s baking outstrips hers in terms of appearing edible and well presented.

Plus the fact that she’s tweeting her obv means they haven’t spoken via fone/ text . I’m jacks age and atm speak to my parents by phone every day as they’re both so bored in lockdown

Miguel has finally posted about the live. He is such a goon, i love it.
Wow I've had to spend so long catching up, life has really got in the way of my tattle time! Sending belated congrats/birthday wishes to all who've had celebrations.
I am so intrigued to see how she is with Miguel. He is such a natural on camera, unlike her, and while I have some criticisms of him we do love so many of his recipes in my house, he can make recipes work with little ingredients. He is also an untrained cook but seems to understand what works well together

Again, if I had a twitter account I would tweet Jacks mum and tag Jack in saying her baking is really lovely and Jack should be proud her mum CAN BAKE.

The lack of reply to her Mum is heartbreaking. I expect that Jack get lots of mentions but she always remembers to reply to Nigella's... If I were her I'd set up notifications for my Mum's mentions. This to me suggests (my opinion, m'lud) that her Mum probably needs to Tweet her (not text) to try and get a reply through a public forum and on a platform she uses - unless Jack wants something.

I do find it interesting that as a chronic oversharer, she never mentions her siblings. Does she feel annoyed that all the attention hasn't been on her? Or does having a large, close-knit family not fit the narrative?

Hah. Same - babes

Well, not exactly the same, but as an 18/19 year old girl on a building site in the late 90s I got my fair share of 'bants' too. Wit and sarcasm (and rapidly developing a hide like a rhino) were definitely key tools of the trade.

Nail on the head, really is like Lisa.

As i keep saying, i think she's really missed the boat here, she had a perfect opportunity and platform, but she's done everything too late. Nobody gives a shit anymore because everything is back and accessible. Nobody wants her mayo casserole. The swede comment really shows she doesn't have any sort of food education or knowledge. Other people have adapted (Miguel, Shivi etc) and she's trying to ride there coattails to rise herself up.

Following on from my previous comment - i think she is attractive, i think these photos she's taken are actually making her look less attractive.

And 'cleaner filming shot' - what, she's Kubrick now?

Today will be a huge challenge for Jack. Presenting - Cooking - Following the self-scripted banter - Responsible for Tech - Avoiding prolonged silences …..

I may end up eating humble pie here but I don't think for one minute that she actually removed a window. She just saw a crowbar and fancied a bit of Rosie the Riveter cosplay to get her fans swooning.

Anyway, back over to you, Bernie …..

Brilliant, @Saturn. ! It's only a matter of time before we're on stage at the Grammys, tearfully thanking Jack (but not our mums) for all the inspiration! X

The suede thing I find genuinely shocking, even people with very little food knowledge generally have a vague idea of what veg is summer/ winter
