Much like exceptions to the social distancing law include front line NHS staff, and influencers who want to have a laugh dying each other's hair.

Also, he was touching the books and I think he signed one of them. In the Waterstones (I think that's the bookshop he's in) near me, as soon as you've even touched a book, it has to go onto a trolley to be cleaned before it can be put back on display. I don't know if this is the case everywhere but either way, he probably should have known not to touch the books and then put them straight back.

My cooking as a student :
1 spaghetti package (0.80€) = 3-4 meals
For 10 meals let’s say we need 4 packages —> 3.2€
Plus 2 napolitana sauce jars ~ 5€ at most (I don’t buy ready sauce but tomato pulp so actually ~1€ per can)

Sum : 8.2€ or £7.3

Of course this doesn't mean anything but to me £20 for 10 meals is somewhat expensive as a student with budget limitations.
Sure Jack is a social climber and a first gen uni student but I wonder if he comes from a well-off family, especially since it's his first time batch cooking, a practice very common among students

The average student's fridge is packed with precooked meals in my experience

For some reason, I think he might want to do something in the... entertainment industry, maybe host tv programs or write for tv shows (more specifically for dramas, possibly screen write for the episodes)

He definitely doesn't even need a master's degree for that, he shouldn't waste his time if that's what he wants unless it's a specific course that'll teach TV writing and media production

I must say the video overall is sort of dull though. I skipped through some of it and they seem to mention books I'd be interested in myself, but the whole atmosphere just doesn't seem that entertaining.

Same, the vibes were sorta off for a girlfriend-boyfriend dynamic. They seem more like acquaintances who just met and are having awkward small talk

So, I’m pretty new to this thread and to jack. Has he recently mentioned what he’s gonna do next year? Does he currently have a job (I’m guessing not because of the pandemic), is he studying?

He hasn't mentioned anything specific about the 2021-22 academic year I don't think. He did apply to multiple universities (including Oxford again) to a masters degree for 2021 entry (according to his 'Answering questions I've already avoided' video), but then on Twitter recently he said that he won't be studying after all. It's unclear whether he withdrew his applications or was rejected for the third time and didn't take it well.

He had a place on a screenwriting course in the USA, but dropped out before it started when he found out it was all going online.

At the moment he works remotely as a 'research assistant' for Ali Abdaal's upcoming self-help book, and he is (or at least was) a PA for a UK 'celebrity' which he never named.

And that will show, recruiters and employers can tell someone who is just after anything or not bothered. And it will likely show in applications.

But if he doesn't want to do YouTube forever now is the time to get a graduate placement if he can or some sort of entry job. If he doesnt he will miss his window. Late 20s with an aging degree and no experience is not going to be appealing to many employers.

Judging by personal experience with influencer products, no one will get a new one or refund...

The statement he’s put out on his website for it is pretty poor, you can tell he didn’t care as much about this second one, saw the money and was like yeah fuck it, you cant blame everything on everyone else, you’re the face of the company, you should know, You’re not at uni being “busy”
