The thing is she hasn't been friends with Candy for over 3 years and hasn't spoken to her. She has managed to blocked her out up until now. Plus Candy is 5+ years younger than her. She doesn't know what has been going on with Candy or her health and struggle etc and Em needs to mature a bit if she's on a downer. Candy is in her past.
If it's affected her she needs to try and block it out like she's done the last few years with Candy. Surely other people around her have got pregnant in recent years too and it must be awful but she can only focus on herself and getting better. If she wanted to adopt like she hinted at then maybe this will spur her on and she will make some changes like she told us about last year.
